Perhaps we don't need to break the bank on top-end forwards coming on the NRL market soon i.e. Payne Haas ?
If we have the talent coming through then might as well give our own young-guns a shot, keep our salary cap in check and look at other areas within our squad where we need to improve (for example our outside backs).

ROOSTERS CALL ON ROOKIE
— Phil Rothfield
The Sydney Roosters are poised to use rookie front-rower Terrell May against the Penrith Panthers — and his brother Taylan — on Saturday night at the SCG.
May has stood out this year at the North Sydney Bears, the Roosters’ feeder club, to such an extent that Melbourne Storm have been trying to sign him for next season.
However the 23-year-old forward, the brother of Tyrone and Taylan, agreed to a three-year contract with the Roosters on Wednesday night.
May, who had been on a development contract at the Roosters, was always going to be available for NRL selection in Round 11.
Coach Trent Robinson originally named the front-rower in jersey 24 when the Roosters squad was announced on Tuesday. He is now expected to play off the bench against the Panthers.

Late Mail: Trent Robinson is tipped to hand rookie prop Terrell May a debut off the bench. May, brother of Tyrone and Taylan, is expected to be rewarded for strong form in the lower grades. Lock Victor Radley (ankle) is replaced by Nat Butcher while Lindsay Collins returns from suspension on the bench. Hooker Connor Watson is likely to switch with utility Drew Hutchison before kick-off.

Fantastic news that we've locked him up for 3 years.
Some good judges on here who go out and follow the bears have been singing his praises all year and if the storm and panthers were after him you know he has got some ability.
I like what I've seen from him, he is aggressive and goes looking for the ball and loves the contact.
The future in our young props to take over when JWH and Tauks are nearing the end is starting to alleviate the worries I had when these two great warriors leave.
