  • Bat on no try

Wtf was that call all about?

Are bat on passes illegal now under Herr Vlandy's? Or was the call that the bat on travelled forward (patently incorrect).

I thought the NRL was all about the spectacle? I haven't seen many more spectacular tries this season that that one, and it was promptly disallowed.

Could have easily cost us the game if things got as close as they were threatening to.

If it’s the same no try I think you mean, the ball from Momi to Toops looked forward - I was at the game and that was my view

Was ruled a knock on and rightly so

Ball was passed backwards from the hands then batted along by Toups before bouncing forward. I though it was a try but maybe a bat on that bounces forwards could be viewed as a knock on? After all, a tap on is not exactly a pass.

Looked 100% like a try to me.

Knock on… there you go. Was a bit confused live so put it down to last pass (which looked forward, but I was sitting half way line).

That photo looks like a knock back.

I thought for a ball to be ruled a knock on, it has to come off the hands, and fall forwards towards the opposition's tryline.
In the photos above, the ball looks like it travels in a backwards direction, to a player that is behind the player that "batted " it on.
I guess I am no expert, but I will be guided by the "expert" referees.
Just like they make the "expert" calls on the six - again.

Or maybe the administrators put a new rule in the NRL rulebook , that no one knows about
"If the Roosters play a flat ball (eg Baker to Radley) , a suspicious ball, or one that goes directly across the field, rule it forward."
"If any other team does it, let them have the benefit of the doubt, and let play continue"

                      I wasn't expecting this much pro-referee sentiment.

                      That's a try to me.

                        Because it was a try.

                        R6's screenshots prove nothing.

I thought it was a try.

Parra also threw a number of forward passes that went unnnoticed.

                            Where's the knock on?

Because we won. Different story if we'd lost.
