It's like when someone throws a pass and hits a players hands without an attempt to tap it on. If it goes backwards the ref calls knocked back and knock on if he/she thinks it travels forward.

Walker was not attempting a pass and the ball travelled forward off his hands. Knock on all day.

Carry on. I'll come back when the thread hits 8 pages.
You and R6 are 100% correct. It will keep going because a lot of people have issues with comprehension.

I have never made a counter argument to the momentum of the ball in a pass, my point is purely that they don't interpret a bat on to be a pass.

In fact if you read my last point in the post you quoted you would understand that I think the momentum of the player touching a ball should also be considered when adjudicating knock ons.

What's the difference between a tap on and a flick...both use same wrist action but one generally uses arms down (flick) and the other arms above head (tap on) with same wrist action.u should know wrist action R6... And time in possession has no relevance for been a pass..whether milli sec or a minute..

So why didn't ur hero A Gee rule Manu's pass for Sualli's try a knock on? It wasn't a throw and it hit the ground..
No a flick pass is a pass not a bat on, a player has grip of the ball on a flick pass they are just flicking their wrist but it's still a throw of the ball.

      That's just simple logic.

I never mentioned bounces, please go back and read my post.

It's footy so 'serious' is a relative term.

But yes, I was wishing you better luck for next time

Simple logic is what u and your 2 lap dogs are not comprehending. No u don't need a grip on the ball to pass / transfer it to another team mate.

I remember Adam Reynold just palm the ball between his legs on the play the ball and Staggs would have scored if not dropping it.
How did it get to Staggs? Was it magic or was it some sort of pass?

I've seen hundreds of bat on passes in my time watching the game...get with the program R6...it's not rocket science.

You already answered your own question.. he didnt pass it he palmed it. If you palm the ball forward then its a knock on, I've never seen a ball come off a players palm and it be called a forward pass, have you?

The problem with Rooster_6's stills are that we don't see where the ball leaves Walker's hand - it appears he was moving forward - or where the ball actually initially hits the ground. Not their fault as when you try and do frame by frame on Fox, it does miss a few frames. I thought it went back to be honest and then bounced forward - even a Souths-supporting friend agreed.

To be fair to Gee, he seemed to play on and probably got a call from the touchie.

That's because it's extremely rare, dummy halfs usually attempt the pickup of the ball...not do what Reynolds did in trying a flick pass off the ground.

Anyways I'm over this...it's obviously u got too much pride to ever admit u ever get something wrong.

I've made my point, take it or leave it..no point me going on.

I’ll leave it, your point was emotional and lacked any factual foundation.

It's weird right... meh, no point fighting other Easts fans after a win. I'll leave that to the Doggies!

IMO we can all agree the refs are shyte and Easts are the best!

It's not really a fight, just a disagreement with the current issue.

Sometimes u just gotta move on....if R6 can't see the basic logic then it's not my problem.

Four premierships this century had mellowed me...i can't be bothered with heated league debates.

R6 has proved it was a forward pass. Move on.
Twice during the game once with Tupou & once with Suaalii they were called for a knock on in the play the ball but neither were & the Roosters didnt challenge either incident.
