The AFL have been pouring money into a sinkhole that is the suns.
For whatever reason, sports on the goldcoast just don’t do well.

The population is exploding up there too. You have to wonder why teams don't work out there. Lifestyle maybe but it should be no different to playing anywhere else.

I can’t recall a season where we’ve lost 3 first grade coaches. Especially in the space of about 3 weeks.
To be fair tho, it was quite predictable for all 3 of these blokes to get the arse at some point but all 3 pretty much at once amazes me!

Whats with Lodge and Brown saying they don't want to move to New Zealand??!! Why the fark did they sign with the Warriors??!! We all know Lodge is a low human being but that is so weak from Brown. Pathetic really.

It is just so disrespectful to the Warriors. So glad we never signed Lodge. I can't support that kind of human.

Why though.. if he was going to get sacked he was probably going to get a pretty good pay out.

I don't think they were going to sack him, I think the owner put in some very temporary fixes during a very difficult time and the intention was always for Brown and Lodge to move on when it came time to relocate back to NZ.

A lot of strange dealings at that club lately.

That lifestyle excuse was just some media rubbish they continued on with. What about Manly, Cronulla, Nth Qld..etc. all with nice weather & beaches....same as the old saying you have to lose a GF to win one. Really? Yeah right.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. The GC is no different to any other place in terms of partying, etc.

warriors are a good coach away from winning the comp. they have first call on a lot of polynesian talent. it won't happen but if they signed robbo i reckon they'd win a comp before too long

Yeah, it is going back awhile.
From memory it was an interview he did in the lead up to an Anzac day game.
He was asked about the history between the two clubs, and he rather arrogantly said that the Roosters had no history.........that was all on St Merges side.
When told that Easts had been around since 1908 and had 90 odd years of history at the time he said "don't count coz they've got no soul. They just buy players"
I don't forgive him for that, even though I enjoyed him putting Skelator in his place.

Hasn't been terminal for his career to date and let's be real that's probably his last gig in the NRL regardless of the technicality of sacked or resigned.
