The problem is though you need to go 80 minutes with Penrith to be a chance - the errors starting to mount in those 15 or so minutes before half time and they capitalised on them - 18 unanswered points - that was the game there

    • Not having a proper no. 9 is really starting to show

I think there are more issues than that though - playing a 80 minute game is the main one

        • Some of the people on here could genuinely improve by pulling their heads in.
The Panthers have lost like 5 games over the two and a half years. They're borderline unbeatable and utterly toweled Melbourne up last week, too. A lot of the effort tonight was extremely good, but the reality is they're just better than us at the moment.

I think I saw enough to be optimistic if we run into them come finals time. They're going to rightfully be favourites against anyone they play for the rest of the season, but we don't need to reinvent the wheel to beat them. Just need a healthy squad, some more improvement, and a bit of luck on the day we play them.

Thought JWH, Suaalli and Toops were all exceptional. May certainly looked handy, as well. Definitely can't fall back on that side-to-side attack that we do sometimes. That won't ever work against the Panthers. They're too fit and disciplined. Gotta keep punching through, and we have a strong enough pack to do it later on the in the season.

It starts with the dummy half . Watsons service is really poor and Keary is not a halfback. The spine is key .

Watson's passing game from the ruck is awful and is contributing to the disjointed attack.

E Butcher only made one handling error though

                    • Great wingers, great fullback, star centre, good halves, yet we can’t score points.

I think the scoreline was fair, we learnt you can't just can't get away playing 50 minutes a game and think you can just flip a switch when you play the big sides.

But yes there was enough in that game to suggest we can get up to Penrith's level because we did for 50-60 mimutes of the game.

                            • Angus literally pushed S.Crichton through the line when he scored his 80 metre try. Piss this guy off already. Clearly disinterested.

Its the pack mate to light, to old I'm not saying that they are shit but thats where the problem is , keary and walker were nullified by the penrith pack its as simple as that.
