    Amazing the intellect of some.
There are 2 jobs in football. Attack AND defence.

We must have watched a different game. If he was disinterested he wouldn’t have chased hard for 70 of those 80 metres.
He couldn’t exactly stand back and watch. Especially after throwing Crichton through the line.

      • That Liam Martin is a cat. Copped a smack on the face, held his face then removed his hand and smiled as soon as the ref blew the penalty. Should go and play bloody soccer.

          • The only comfort I get watching Penrith play that good is knowing QLD have to deal with it in the coming weeks.
then hopefully penrith get the mother of origin hangovers...
the rooster were good and are still on the up with a few players to come back.

            What about Joe Suali?
There is plenty to be exiced about there , he is a weapon , so aggressive and competitive.
            Beautiful to watch

            • we were in it for most of the first half and then weight of possession and a few errors did us in. pretty good second half from us. panthers are the best side in the comp atm and took their chances. bring on next week.

              • AND YOU base his defensive game and lack of interest on a bomb that went wrong, our players running towards our try line and a faster more agile guy catching a ball with momentum towards our try line. I hope you made that call after a couple bottles of red or a couple of sessions with the bride because it is a dumb call sorry.

                  • Will the club address the obvious bias of Gerard Sutton and his officiating with us?

Something has to be done about it. Cop a fine but put it on the back page.

These guys think they have to fill every second with words. Only speak if you can add something to the picture. If you can't shut the **** up. Ennis is horrible I can't listen to him. Vossy is at least totally unbiased in my opinion and commentates agenda free. Ennis seems like he is always going for one side in is commentary. Dan Ginane another one who just doesn't shut up.

And Ennis, besides never shutting up for a second, has an unbearable angle grinder voice in the worst Strine accent.

                          Somebody please strangle him.

The Panthers have lost like 5 games over the two and a half years. They're borderline unbeatable and utterly toweled Melbourne up last week, too. A lot of the effort tonight was extremely good, but the reality is they're just better than us at the moment.

I think I saw enough to be optimistic if we run into them come finals time. They're going to rightfully be favourites against anyone they play for the rest of the season, but we don't need to reinvent the wheel to beat them. Just need a healthy squad, some more improvement, and a bit of luck on the day we play them.

Thought JWH, Suaalli and Toops were all exceptional. May certainly looked handy, as well. Definitely can't fall back on that side-to-side attack that we do sometimes. That won't ever work against the Panthers. They're too fit and disciplined. Gotta keep punching through, and we have a strong enough pack to do it later on the in the season.
Agree. They were doing well holding out until that first try. Teddy(?) never looked in position to take the bomb that led to it. Should've left it. They might get them another day.

I did have to google Micheal Ennis to check he never played for Penrith, though!

bias against us or issues he has with JWH ?
I dont think a 'bias' against us complaint will get any traction, however surely there must be stats about this guy putting Jared on report over the years where he later is exonerrated or nothing comes of it. Wasn't this the ref who sent him off a few years back because he swore ...not swear as in abuse the ref but but used the F word in a sentence about what just happened on the field ?

He also got burnt on the edges that lead to a try and failed to pass to his outside man which would have put his centre in a 2 on 1 try scoring situation.

I’ve been saying it for years but Angus tries too hard and works himself to a stand still where he becomes ineffective for the team and I think that’s where people think he’s not trying or he’s become disinterested, he needs to be at lock in 2x 25-30minute stints with Connor Watson coming on fro the 20-30minutes in between those two stints. You get the work rate and power of Crichton but in defence and attack and then you get the leg speed and mobility of Watson in between.
