Gould has too much to lose by taking the job on. I mean that from a pride level. If he took the job and did not succeed...something he could not handle. I think he might be happy with sitting in a cosy commentary box and putting his 2 cents worth in for a $2000 return....good coin.

We said that in 07. I remeber the MAck's lineups and how we would challenge for the premiership in 09.

        Rubbish.

But we had the same nuffies in under 20s and newtown as we do now.

Haven't you said before that O'Sullivan will need a few years to make his mark?

Yeah but this aint about O'Sullivan. This is about being competitive in a year or 2. we said teh same thing in 07, and instead we went backwards. Recruiting players here and there is just a tint part of that. Coaching and Cultural change is the biggie. Our coaching quality has gone backwards every year for the past 5 and so has the culture at the club. i cant see us complete for at least 4 years and thats only after Freddy gets replaced and we get a new training and fitness regime in place.

Succinct and to the point as always Melon, and totally agree.

No matter what quality of players we recruit, under the current coaching and fitness structure success is a long way off.

Our squad also requires a total change of attitude and discipline, on and off the field.

Most need a solid injection of pride and respect for the Club they represent. Fittler may be classed as a "club legend" but he's failed miserably in that regard.

Until all the above happens get used to par performances.
