  • Sydney Roosters - State of Origin Period

Tedesco/ Crichton/Collins in contention for SOO- not sure if all 3 will be selected though?- Tedesco is the only certainty one would say.

Manu to Fullback - Billy Smith would be a chance to play centre one assumes - Have cover for Collins and Crichton

A tough Draw during the State of Origin period and unknown what Rooster(s) players will back up including what opposition players will back up as well for these respective games.
    • Round 12 - 28/5/2022 - Sharks- A- All fit players available
    • Round 13 - 5/6/2022 - Raiders -A - Players selected for SOO 1 unavailable
    • Round 14 - 11/6/2022 - Storm - H - 3 days after SOO 1
    • Round 15 - 18/6/2022 - Parramatta- A
    • 23-26/6/2022 - All teams bye
    • Round 16 - 1/7/2022 - Penrith - A- 5 days after SOO 2
    • Round 17 - Bye- 7-10/7/2022 - Penrith also have a Bye in Round 17

Round 13 - Raiders will have a couple selected- SOO selected players not available for round 13 games
Round 14 - Storm will have a couple selected - how many backup unknown- Hughes back (Round 12 ) / Asofa-Solomona back (Round 13) - Papenhuyzen listed as back Round 15
Round 15 - I think all players can play round 15 (16-19/6/2022) with SOO 2 on Sunday 26/6/2022
Round 16 - Penrith quite a few selected- how many backup unknown
Round 18 - Dragons at least 1 selected- Unknown if they will backup

we've got a good squad and can sort of cover for whoever gets selected. don't know how the mop will flop but seems like it will be a good chance to get wins over the storm and penrith.

Penrith have a bye in round 17 as well so one figures most of their players may play in round 16 vs Roosters

you'd figure all their players will play v us - if fit, but not easy to back up after an origin.

Couldnt care less and never have. If you could have offered me 2pts vs the Panthers or the next 28 years Blues series wins i'd take the 2pts.

They have the bye the next week in Round 17 as well. Be a long gap between games if they rest them in round 16 - SOO 2 26/6/2022 to SOO 3 13/7/2022- Depends on where the SOO series is at after 2 games

Tedesco and Crichton (Yes, he will be there) will be in NSW. Tupou will get called up if To'o or JAC get injured. Barring that we should be good. Raiders will be full strength as Hynes will probably get utility over Wighton. No Papalii though. As for the Storm game, I would be surprised if the Storm or Roosters risk their Origin players.

The Roosters may have no choice but play them - being 6 and 5 those 5 games could be well be season defining as that will be 2/3rd of the season gone (16 rounds ) . Will need to win at least 3 of those games as a minimum.

It's strange in the presser questions being asked about September and what shape the team be in then for the finals etc.

They are a long way from September and those 3 losses to Knights/Dragons/Bulldogs could well come back to bite them hard.

Should be 9 and 2 at least and not 6 and 5.

                      Hopefully we lift by then.

The weekend coulda been very different if we'd scored first (almost did) and those 3 tries didn't come so quickly.

Collins should get picked for QLD

That was our death period. Take away that little 15 min or so lapse and we competed pretty well. In fact I think we dominated for a decent part of the match but like usual, we couldn’t capitalize.

In saying that, I think the Riff had us on a short leash.

On form Collins and Crichton should not be picked for origin.
