I've been calling out the storms illegal tactics for years but the latest outcry over tackling too hard to the legs is ridiculous. Smith and big Nelson are terrific hard low tacklers and if it's first contact and not 3rd man in when the upper body is held is what has been the essence of the game since 1908.
Verrills gets dominated in the middle when we are defending which will be rectified once Smith is our rake.

It's absurd this recent criticism of Smiths legs tackles - ffs what is the game coming to? Soon it will just be a penalty for an injury regardless of the tackle technique.

Everyone at the Roosters club - Trent, the coaching staff, Uncle Nick have brought in B Smith in for next year , and have made no further comment.
All the supporters , and chookpen members, can't wait for Smith to pull on the RWB.
But Anasta says he is not a good fit for the club, and we should be nervous about the signing.

The guy is an idiot, just like the rest of the journos with nothing better to talk about.
It follows hot on the heels of the other stupid story - that we should sack 3 of our senior players to accomodate Munster at the club.

Anasta was mediocre on the field and even worse in his media role.
He added no flair or excitement when he played. He was a poor man’s Brad Fittler.
I don’t listen to a word he says on 360. Should never have been made captain of our proud club.
In terms of Smith, I can’t wait to see him pull on our jersey.
I also hope we can keep Verrils as well

Brandon Smith at lock
And move Radley to the second row where he played a lot in the lower grades

your assuming rads can turn up. He only plays 5 games a year!

Been underwhelmed with Smith this year, seemed to excel with the faster rucks that came about from the 6again rulings but with rule changes reverting back and having minimal effect on the game now he seems to be far less effective.

Still does a lot of good off the ball in defence but on the ball this year he’s been disappointing. Only got 30minutes last night, 20minutes at lock to start the game then 10minutes at the end of the game at dummy half.
