Forwards do win matches and hopefully each one of our boys fire up and show Uncle and Robbo that they don't need to sign Hass ( I am not against it if they do though ). No secret our improved performances have coincided with big improvement from our forwards of late. Continue in the same manner and reduce or better yet cut out the simple defensive lapses and I think we win well..
Thinking about pizza now. Place up the road does a really good seafood number, might go nicely with the couple of Coopers XPA in the fridge tonight.
Really looking forward to this one. Go the Chookies!
Another tough game tonight against a good sharkies team who are hard to beat at home.
We've been much better in the last few weeks and it should be a cracker. We need the win as it's very congested around the middle of the table.
Easts to win
Just watched highlights of broncos/titans game, and the dive the broncos player took to get titans binned down to 11 on 13.
Refs go into a 6 again/sin bin frenzy with some teams (but not others) when sides are defending their line, with an unreasonable expectation of immediate release of the tackled player, that is not applied in other areas of the field. Likewise, the refs are very 6 again happy on the tryline for "offsides" that are not given anywhere else on the field. Note to refs - your line speed is going to look much faster when you are starting off 1 metre away from the play the ball, but we frequently see this end in 18 tackles, exhaustion and a try.
Vlandys comes from a sport where horses are whipped in to exhaustion and it shows that he thinks of the players in the same way, the fat useless carnt.
Anyone who thinks that milking, leg thrashing, ground humping and diving are not worth points on the scoreboard is in denial. But we don't do it. We earn no kudos from the NRL, press, other fans or the refs for this.
I haven't watched Cronulla closely enough under Fitzy - does he still coach the "roosters way", or has he adopted the pragmatic, some say cynical approach of all other coaches and sides?

As you know I don't concentrate on the refs & pick up on every mistake they make (players make more mistakes by a country mile) when Im watching the game but I do know the refs get it right 98% of the time & it actually amazes me when play gets held up & they go to a replay & it shows a player who has slightly knocked on but at full pace as it happens I miss it but the ref doesnt so I think they do a good job.
Yes the Chooks have got the raw end of the stick when you look at the statistics but over all it hasn't impede their season.
On Penrith they aren't getting a leg up they simple are a sensational footy team who doesnt get injuries.
If the Chooks are good enough tonight against the Sharks they will win they will not get beaten (if they get beaten) because of the ref. Try not to concentrate so much on the ref & just watch the players playing good footy.
Go the Roosters.
I'm in Port Macquarie mate. RW&B and Zac mentioned pizza earlier on which had the very same effect on me.
As for the Sharks I haven't seen any of there players lay down like a dog then get up grinning like a Chesire Cat when they get the penalty. Seems to be the norm rather than the exception now.

Yeah but it ruins non roosters games for me too, watching sides have to make 18-24 tackles on their line and a try being scored because of exhaustion rather than skill (or even poor defence).
I'm happy for Fitzy to have some success. Just not tonight. As usual JWH will have a target on his back (big enough for the bunker to see). I sense a high scoring affair with us getting up by 20.

I thought we had a pretty good record at Endeavour Field ?
I remember a lot of classic victories at that ground, including once when we fielded a reserve grade team.
