  • First side to beat Cronulla at Shark Park this year and most points put on against a very good defensive Sharks side this year. It's never an easy game at Shark park, don't underestimate this win. Still searching for that 80min performance but shown we can play at a high level over the last 3 weeks.

JWH, Collins and SST all great.

Best game from Crichton this year by a long way. Ran good unders lines, didn't overdo it. Shame about that Mcinness try but some good signs.

    3. Teddy
    2. Teddy
    1. Teddy
    0.5 Collins
    0.25 Suaali

As soon as Suuali was injured the next tackle they score as he wasn’t right and fell off the tackle. From then on we were in deep trouble. He’s a great defender and our line was not strong after he left. He makes a huge difference to the team.

Keary’s been improving with every game. You could probably say that about most of the players in our team though

        • Great 1st half but we fell apart when Suuali went off. Manu ended up saving the day.

          • Man, a lot of great stuff in this game, and like I said I was pretty confident going in. I think Suaalii getting injured probably cost us two tries. Pretty sure he'd make the tackle on Talakai as he had done all night, if he wasn't a bit dusty.

Just on Suaalii, that was a super performance by him. The kid is 18 and dominating contact against men who are feared throughout the competition like Talakai and Kikau. Couldn't believe some people were unhappy with his defense. His technique is great and he's super aggressive. Hope he's with us for a long time.

Keary and Teddy were tremendous, and to be honest I think we'll beat just about anyone in the comp for the first 20-30 minutes of the game, when we start JWH, SST and Collins. They make a very tough trio to handle. The issues seem to arise once they significantly tire or come off.

Shoutout to Momo on some great work, too. Would have liked to have seen May get some more time, but I suppose it was in part due to the Suaalii injury.

Where does everyone rank us in the competition now? Suppose we could be as high as 3rd and as low as 6th, in most people's estimation?

                  • Just got back from the game. Was a beautiful night, glad the rain stayed away as it made for a nice quick track.

Great showing from the chooks, really dominate for most of the game. We had good line speed and the contact was really good through the first 60 minutes. We fell away a bit with a few penalties but held firm. I felt we were lucky with a couple of calls, particularly the 6 to go that was conceded off the linebreak. Not sure how that wasn't a bin but it's nice to get the rub of the green every now and then.

                    • That last Sharks try was a disgraceful decision. Annesley has the refs confused and he needs to go.

                      • Great win tonight. First half definitely our best footy of the season. We were resilient in defence, they had a lot of ball down our end and they came up with nothing. Brilliant in attack with limited ball and the way we iced some of those short side plays with Teddy and Co. gave me vibes of yesteryear. We are clicking into gear and its exciting!

2nd half was typical NRL referring getting teams back into a contest to bring the game closer. I'll say it til i'm blue in the face. The late tries were good because the game didn't deserve to be an 8pt margin given how much better we were than them.

At one stage it was raining 6 agains & penalties for the Sharks. Was waiting for the customary sin bin to also follow. That's probably a decent reason why we were so gassed that last 20min.

Collins and Keary getting better every week.
                                Attacking combos gelling.
Our line defence best all year.
Suaalii gives you wow factors each week.
                                Walker's defence improving.
                                I like what I'm seeing.
                                One week at a time.
