Exactly and the sharks knew it so ambushed us and it nearly came off. We’ve still got a huge problem with interfering refs giving momentum to our opponents. We lose a lot of games on pure tiredness caused by ref penalties and 6 agains.

      • [QUOTE=Rooster_6;n935339]First side to beat Cronulla at Shark Park this year and most points put on against a very good defensive Sharks side this year. It's never an easy game at Shark park, don't underestimate this win. Still searching for that 80min performance but shown we can play at a high level over the last 3 weeks.

JWH, Collins and SST all great.

Best game from Crichton this year by a long way. Ran good unders lines, didn't overdo it. Shame about that Mcinness try but some good signs.

        3. Teddy
        2. Teddy
        1. Teddy
        0.5 Collins
        0.25 Suaali[/
I agree on the performance of the 3 middle forwards and your general sentiment. I also believe we have improved with Crichton swapping sides, Keary starting to find his form as he has slowly gained confidence in his comeback, and Suualii being given the chance to work with Joey. I also believe having Stili not in the starting side has helped us improve.
The only negative is the use of the bench by the coach. I don’t agree with players only getting a few minutes but we won so my opinion is of little relevance on that one I guesss.

tou are right to say we should not underestimate the importance of this win. It was a very good effort.

LMAO it's hard to remain passionate over this biased trash.
3 set restarts in 3 games of footy it’s just amazing how every teams discipline in the ruck is near faultless when they play Easts most teams we play get double that in one match we have received a fair shake of penalties but can you imagine what we do to nearly every side if we received that many? How many have we received all year? 10-15 max

          • Anyone else get a deja vu moment when Teddy scored. Our No.6 down the left blind side, pass to the no.3, quick hands to Toops down the left wing, draw the fullback and pass inside to Teddy !

            • Good win tonight. No complaints. Hope Suaalii isn't badly hurt.

Anyone else notice Greg Alexander's groan of disappointment when that happened?

I assume Suaalii will most likely miss next week due to failing his HIA.

Could be missing 3 or 4 next week - Tedesco/Crichton/Collins/Suaalii

                  Manu to Fullback
                  Smith to Centre
Naiqama/Carr - Wing if Suaalii out
Sitili in for Crichton with E Bucther/DSF as bench options

Sure did. Some of the plays & tries that 1st half took me back a couple of years to when Latrell was running riot down that side.

Different 3 & 6 on our team this time , but Toops and Teddy's involvement looked so identical to the original.
Toops into space and knows he has to hare down the field. Sends a perfectly timed inside ball to an unmarked Teddy, who goes over untouched.
The game was replayed at the Hordern pavilion the day after the 2019 decider , at the supporters meet and greet with the players. When the try came on, the cheering and clapping from the Roosters faithful really stood out.

                        Yep

Oh man what shyte timing to have him and Teddy (maybe Crichton) out!

Any predictions on what happens to our squad? I'm thinking something like...

                        1. Manu
                        ...
                        4. Smith
                        5. Naiqama

Great squad (against the Faders likely down Papalii & Wighton) but jeez. Given our draw in the coming weeks I wish JS was available.

                        • I can't see Suaalii missing next week for any reason. (Sunday game) 7 day rest & it wasn't a KO moment. He was more temporary stunned & has no major head knock history.

I didn't hear that but the other main caller couldn't hide his excitement when they called a knock on against us at one stage.

I can literally hear the punt they've had on the games in their voices some of these commentators.
