LMAO it's hard to remain passionate over this biased trash.
The bunches they all of a sudden get when attacking the red zone.

We get one per game. On the 1st tackle. 3 seconds before full time.

    lol.

Any predictions on what happens to our squad? I'm thinking something like...

      1. Manu
      ...
      4. Smith
      5. Naiqama

Great squad (against the Faders likely down Papalii & Wighton) but jeez. Given our draw in the coming weeks I wish JS was available.
Robbo said he was fine in the post match presser so should hopefully be okay considering the turnaround.

Are these independent doctors at the ground or does one rule from the bunker? Didn't this happen to Radely this year as well?

Bunker. They simply review footage and tell the ref and team they need to come off and what the category is.

          • Wow only three 6agains in 3 games. All teams "think" that they get the raw end of the deal from the refs huh? I wonder what fans of other clubs (who regularly receive at least three 6agains per half) would say if they got only 1 per game

I dare say we would be premiers again if they all got 1 like us lol.

Brilliant in attack with limited ball and the way we iced some of those short side plays with Teddy and Co. gave me vibes of yesteryear. We are clicking into gear and its exciting!

2nd half was typical NRL referring getting teams back into a contest to bring the game closer. I'll say it til i'm blue in the face. The late tries were good because the game didn't deserve to be an 8pt margin given how much better we were than them.
                100%!

And refs have gone crazy with 6-agains on the goal line! Seriously, before 6-agains did you EVER see so many penalties there! The rule's got to be axed!

Friggin' disgraceful!! Are there stats on 6-agains anywhere or is it up the poor suffering fans to try and keep count? Can't find it on the NRL site. I suppose it's in their best interest to hide them.

                  • Monster game from the boys yesterday. First half was some of the best football I have seen from us for a long period. Attack looked so silky and everyone was in motion. The try off the scrum (after we got a second attempt at it) was so well executed. Some of the defensive reads Suaalli showed on Talakai, and the hit on Kennedy…can you believe the kid is 18? The first 10 or so in the 2H, the defence we showed, I also haven’t seen that for a while. Set after set they had, and we held them out. To then go up the other end and for JWH score, how good. Few sloppy plays (and Atkins) led them back into the game, but we were always getting that win yesterday. Pleasing signs for us, Robbo said look for us to start to hit straps come round 10, and the wins against Parramatta and Cronulla (plus the first 30 against Penrith), we are partly looking the package now. Need to build on this, and hopefully belt Canberra at Canberra next week.

                    • Great display by the lads. Up tempo, physical and good execution.

All played really well. Even Hutch gave his best dig this year.

Keary looks back and that spells trouble for opponents, such a dominant player.

A big difference was our willingness to offload and create second phase. Pretty to watch and maybe that was the little adjustment Robbo hinted at. Combine that with our running in numbers and support options, we look deadly.

                      • Certainly the concept of 6 again is fine, in disallowing defenders protecting their line by laying over attacking players, slowing up the game. This is in itself a discretional interpretation, that is entirely possible for the referee to game manage (resultant outcome), and as it appears far from being beneficial to the Roosters. In my feeble opinion, a penalty in most cases would be suffice.

That was a great win last night & has given me confidence that the Chooks are a top 4 team.
                            The whole team played good.

Most of the time the 6-agains on the line seem to be for inside the 10. If the ref thinks there actually is an infringement worth penalising, there should be a penalty IMO. Then the captain of the team can make the decision on what's best for their team.

                              • Great win last night. Our best performance all season.. the boys look fitter and the chemistry within the side is improving in leaps & bounds.

Second half required some balls to hold on with a home crowd against us but we did and even scored at the death to push it out. Well done boys.

Was disappointed to not see May get a run though! Thought that bald fella on the sharks team who debuted looked good and was a handful to put down so was waiting for our guy to counter that. Anywho good win and bring on Canberra !
