  • Loved the variety in our style of game last night and the offloads. Was this the experiment Robbo was working on?
The predictable shift passing when Vic plays was not seen last night. special mention to Momo and Hutch. I like how Hutch creates time.
Furthermore most games that see a team lead by a significant margin in the first 60 mins, opponents are given a leg up by the refs so to get back into the contest, and without having a victim mentality I dare say we are not given that privilege by the game managers as evident of the Riff game. The sole 6 again in the past 3 games just so predictable.

I never watch a game expecting the Roosters to get multiple 6 agains, or, at the very least, them getting more than their opponent.

It's so blatantly obvious the refs put the whistle away when the Roosters have the ball - unless they score a try of course. Then it invariably gets ruled as a no try or the bunker does everything in their power to disallow it. Although last night, miraculously, I don't think any of our tries went to the bunker for review. The other miracle was that JWH wasn't put on report for making a tackle.

How is it possible that every single team becomes squeaky clean and pure when they come up against us?

I'd love to know the stats for 6 agains received on average by other teams in other matches compared to what they get when they play the Roosters. More revealing would be the stats showing the average # of 6 agains conceded by other teams against all other teams compared to how many they concede when they play us.

1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

      • yeah, if you add last night's performance to the wins over titans and parra you'd have to say that we're serious contenders for top 4. penrith are favourites but not easy to go b2b and if i'm a penrith fan i'd be looking at the roosters as a real threat

Next few weeks will reveal all.

Surprisingly though, we have received the most penalties of any team this year.

We conceded a few six agains on our line last night, I don’t mind that, especially when they were on the second or 3rd tackle.

Could be missing 3 or 4 next week - Tedesco/Crichton/Collins/Suaalii

              Manu to Fullback
              Smith to Centre
Naiqama/Carr - Wing if Suaalii out
Sitili in for Crichton with E Bucther/DSF as bench options
Adam Keighran is no slouch in the centres.

But of course, we all know which end of the field penalties are given.

i think a lot of it hinges on keary and his improvement , seems to be running more , as people now realise at souths reynolds was the guy who as paul kent would say plugs everyone in. i think keary is that guy for us, teddy is to individual and his position doesnt call for him to do it. walker is still learning , radley may be the next guy who plugs people in with his passing .

Yes, and equal 3rd in least conceded.

Thank you and that's very kind of you. It costs nothing to be kind, particularly towards fellow Roosters fans when we've had a definitive win on the weekend. It makes everything brighter.
