It's sad because he's totally NRL grade and is playing some awesome footy.

What's the deal with his departure, are they paying him $$$ or is he doing it for the lifestyle?

Think its a bit of both, although the Dophins were apparently chasing him with good coin too so he definitely had options in the NRL above what we could offer him.

He gets to link up with his old mate Pearce over there too.

What a huge loss this is, the last 2-3 years the very fabric of this team, toilers, club greats, fan favourites that have all left or forced to retire in such a short amount time is just devastating JWH and Toops left only from our 2013 campaign my word heart and soul of this team has been torn apart.

I couldn’t imagine a team without Fittler or Mini but we got on with it there’s something about JWH inevitability retiring that’s just gut wrenching Toops also the last club greats of such a successful and dominant era left.

Thank you SST for your service, club great alongside JWH best props I have seen turn out for the RWB, alongside Mozza. To top it off just a genuine all round ****en gentleman.

        You will be missed.

                SST...what a man.
                What a player.
                A true gem.
We were so lucky to have him playing for the Roosters and for so long.

SST will be missed big time. Solid as a rock up front. Best goalkicking prop ever!

The rumors persist that he is managing an ongoing knee problem. He may not feel he can continue playing at his desired level in the NRL.

Best of luck to the big guy. He has been an outstanding servant of the club from the moment he first arrived from the Warriors.

SST has been an absolute star for us and I wish him and his family all the very best. I have nothing but good memories of him. He is a proud Rooster and is also a dual premiership player.

Kudos to him for taking the chance to leave NZ to pursue his dreams and he became one of the best front rowers/locks to not only play for the Roosters but in the NRL as well.

Will never forget his square up with Nelson ’A So Far Braindead’ Solomona in the 2019 Preliminary Final - absolute gold.

So sad to see him go when he still has more years left in him. Thanks SST for being such a great player for the Roosters. You will be sorely missed.
