Mahoney is going to the Dogs so I can't see Verrills going there - Parra would be a more likely destination.

Although I am not sure that Smith is a dummy half - more a lock /loose running forward

I would hope he returns home to Manly.
        Surely Manly would want him.

Lam must be re-signed, he can cover many positions.

Verrills would not be a huge loss in my opinion. Too injury prone and he'll be gun shy when he finally gets back on the paddock.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

There is also a salary cap of 5 million for clubs football departments

All clubs are required to spend 95% of their salary cap each year
              Thanks for that.

Lam is a value for money player.
                He can play 6,7, 9, 3, 4, 5, 1

                  But not 2 ????

I see Lam as the handyman with no skills.
When asked why he's referred to as "handy" he says "Because I live around the corner".

Has he had playing minutes this year? Seems like he’s the 18 every week.

Sorry, he can also play 2.
He can play, shown last season.
Made breaks, can tackle, can pass well.
He helped get us into the top 4 when the stars were injured.
He has Roosters values, and is ready to fill it if we get injuries.
No trouble off the field, loves the Roosters, and will always do his best.
                      He doesn't cost a fortune.
                      Handy to have around.
He's young, but is already trained to play first grade.
The High Performance dept should be able to keep him primed and ready to play at a moments notice.
Fine style of a young man, just what the Roosters need.

Simple answer BB - there's better players ahead of him e.g Keighran's versatility.

Ltitle Lam should summate his situation at Bondi Junction and fly the coop to ESL in my opinion.
Who knows it might aide his development and return to the NRL a more competent player ala Jacko Hastings.

He can play 3, 4, 5 and 1 about as well as Jarred.

In one post you say we need centres the size of Capewell and in another you are endorsing Lam as a centre. Or was that just your alter ego talking rubbish?

Both have already signed hookers for next season.

what is Tapine contract at the raiders? Wouldn’t mind him for a reasonable price.
I wasn’t a fan of Tapine’s workrate over the past couple of years but damn has he had a coming of age this season!
The Raiders wouldn’t let him go and on the back of that, we couldn’t afford him but I wouldn’t be unhappy to see him here if we could.

He turns 30 next year, still got a few good years left in him but not a fan of signing a 30yr old for big dollars.
