More a case of NSW being rather conservative with their game as when they started to play some footy they created opportunities only to be stopped by last ditch QLD scrambling defence.
QLD picked an inform team and obviously Slater , Thurston , Smith are no mugs so they would have come up with a game plan and tactics to nullify NSW and the main NSW players.Last edited by King Salvo; 06-08-2022, 11:43 PM.

Great game by the rooster boys.
Teddy was immense. Made huge metres, threatened around the ruck all night and was the only consistent threat in attack. I don't know what else he could have done, it's a shame the rest of the spine was so poor. On another note, can we please get him some shorts that fit?
Tupou has some really strong and tough carries, particularly at the start of the match hitting the big boys right in the middle. 26 runs, over 200 metres and 77 post contact metres. It's a shame Cleary didn't set up any kicks to him beyond the first 15 minutes as his aerial threat was wasted.
Collins was a huge asset for QLD. When he came on in the first half he made a big difference, punching holes in the middle and changed the tide. 12 runs, over 130m and over 60 post contact metres. All in less than one half of footy. Hopefully he can carry this over into the chooks because he was a completely different player.

I’m not disputing how good he has been this year, I just wish he would run as hard for us on game day.
Like every run for this guy is intense, what level of hardness are you looking for?

on paper he looks like he had a decent game but it’s funny how they quote that he didn’t miss any tackles, that’s because at times he didn’t even try to tackle and just let attackers run straight past him.

Admittedly Jack Wighton was great but Crichton and Staggs both just not at level tonight.
