I agree with the comments on the basics. There are a couple other things I'd be after as well.

Expecting Burton and Hass etc. to come on board is a pipe dream. I suppose it could happen, but it will take a savage cull.

We are missing Radley, the quality work around the ruck in defence is missed sorely.
Momrovski is not playing at his ceiling.
None of the next big things in the middle are turning out as expected, DSF is probably doing the best, hopefully he continues to improve...
Get rid of Watson, he provides a spark in attack, but his dummy half play is reprehensible, which negates any benefit.

    Sign up Haas - he's a beast
Look for a quality left centre, and axe Momrovski if he doesn't life significantly.
Give Billy Smith a go at his natural side if we fall out of contention (if only we had Josh Morris for one more year)
    Wait for B. Smith
    TIT

      Anyone have access to this??

The Roosters were tipped to be among the premiership favourites this season, but it isn’t panning out that way and club chairman Nick Politis might want to shake things up.

What we need is PATIENCE and PERSPECTIVE.

Robbo has won us 3 Premierships in 9 seasons. That's a remarkable, AMAZING record. Actually that's underplaying it... It's a ****ING SENSATIONAL record and I'm still DRUNK on the ethereal euphoria of b2b Premierships.

I mean we are just an over privileged bunch of whiners tbh.

There's 16 teams in this competition and only 6 teams have won Premierships since Robbo took over. Which means 10 teams haven't even won one. And we've won three.

After b2b Premierships and losing Cronk plus the crucially unexpected sudden loss of all time heart and soul club legends like Cordner and Friendy there was always going to be a transition phase.

We thought the transition to the next era of success would culminate in 2022. A shocking two years after our b2b titles. Alas it looks like we may have to wait one more year to become a juggernaught once more.

          Poor us.

Come on guys, it’s an hour and twenty minutes out of your week that you have to be ON. Not that much to ask for your $450k a year.
I thought the feature that stood out the most and made us dangerous against the sharks was our offloads. We seem to be an entirely different team when we offload. But we need to have a better kick and chase game and cut down on errors/penalties/6 agains.

We’ve had some nice years yes… but it’s in our own clubs DNA to be consistent and be successful. We must & will improve.

It’s what makes me so envious of the storm. They are there year after year without fail depsite losing talent and presumably some of the best players to ever lace a boot up.

Respect to Bellamy. He gets it done

This. The lack of a quality 9 is murdering us.

Second on the list of concerns is front row after this year. SST will be gone, JWH will be almost retired. Behind them there aint much right now. Collins remains inconsistent imo. May si possibly a shining light in the distance

We could start by putting Marshke at Hooker and leaving him there for 6 weeks as a minimum to get him used to 1st grade again and the team used to him.

Not playing a proper 9 at 9 is like playing Anasta at FB.

                              • Be able to play at a high level for 80mins
                              • Time, may sound strange but give Walker, Egan Butcher, May, JS, Baker another 30 games experience and we will start seeing big improvements in combinations , confidence and game situation experience
                              • Robbo to adapt his style of play, less structure, more players in motion, support play
That’s my two cents, what do other people think in how we can start competing again?
Having Rads and Verrills on the paddock would pretty much solve the problem.

Unfortunately, Marschke isnt there because Marschke isn't good enough to be a 1st grade hooker.

Why do you think no other club has picked him up?

Heck, Lussick was above Marscke in the pecking order and he has played 4 first grade games at 2 clubs in 2 years.

I have nothing against Marscke, but damn our supporters have a delusional rose tinted view of our fringe players whenever our top 13 make mistakes.
