It was a good game of footy though.
If only Sitilli caught the ball. I thought Sitilli had a pretty good game but that knock on IMO has cost us the season. Its Parra & Penrith to come & if we dont win we are stuck on14 points with a bye to come to take us to 16, we would then have to win 6 out of 8 to make the 8.
Credit to Melbourne.
What a magnificently coached club.
Some posters on here who posted before the game that the Melbournes backs were nowhere near our backs have egg on their face. Melbourne continue to develop no names who play like champions when given their chance. Im so envious of Melbourne. If the Chooks dont win the comp & I know they are not going too I hope Melbourne win it.
It’s in our own hands.

The errors I expected as it has always been that way with Robbo coached teams. Some individuals performed well however we aren’t a team unfortunately. DSF, Baker, May, Butcher and Watson just don’t cut it. A match where they needed to lift their game.
The Robbo bromance experiment with Watson and Momo has failed. I’m concerned with the fitness of The Cheese who looks more like a cheese burger. mm

No games are ever good to lose although there were some positives along with the negatives from the game.
The second halves performances are still problematic in why there is a drop in the standard of play from the 1st half as it's not a one off occurrence when you view the stats between the first and second halves across the season.
Sure the Roosters only 44% of possession in the second half but the set completion rate was only 60% and unfortunately for the Roosters when set completion rates are low this corresponds to an increase in errors and ill discipline.
Obviously they know about this but there doesn't seem to be any light at the end of tunnel as they say in addressing this.

Sucks where we are but we been competitive in most losses and ive been edge of the seat all year - tonight no different.
love the club and the boys; love the footy and even this madhouse thread still good times, mostly. Don’t know why but I’m enjoying the season even though we look off the pace. Chin up everyone, for now there’s still next week.

Better side lost, to be honest. Storm just a touch more class, but losing both of your halves (one for about 50-minutes and the other for 20 or so) is going to make any game nearly impossible.
Angus, Suaalii, Collins were all massive, along with some other good performances.
Thought we copped some pretty ordinary calls with about 20 to go. Watsons' knock-on for instance never seemed to leave his left land? Plenty of others I felt were wrong, but Toops definitely should have been sin-binned, so I guess that's fair.
Melbourne definitely should have been pinged for a half dozen more set restarts. Some of the excessive slowing down of the ruck was abysmal.
Also reaffirmed just how much I can't stand Munster, and how overrated I personally think he is. He feels like a very average player when it comes to kicking and passing, and then occasionally carves up with his running game. He also gets a podium-finish for grubbiest players in the comp. Carry-on in every single tackle. Blowing-up at the referee every single tackle. Was going off the boil at every stage where the game was going against him. Some people have said we should chase him. I really hope he never wears our colours.
What I'd give to actually be able to play against the Storm, or anyone, at full-strength. Don't think we've played Melbourne at full strength since maybe even 2018.Last edited by BraveTheWorld; 06-11-2022, 09:59 PM.

Frustrating thing is if we brought our digs like today or against Parra or even Penrith....to those lower team losses, we would have won those games comfortably.#We Stand with ourJewish community#

There was a penalty or 6 again awarded every 2mins and 25 seconds of play which meant there was no flow in play, rucks were a joke, both sides had multiple passes hitting the ground, was so easy to make metres neither side were forced to get into a grind and actually use their forwards.
It just was a very ugly, stop start affair. The back and forth nature of the scoreboard probably kept it interesting for the neutral but really it was a very low standard of game.
