Funny how one dropped ball changes the whole tone of this place.
Had Sitili scored it was a courageous win without Keary for half the game and without JWH, Rads and Verrills.
The only disappointing things out of the game for me is our goal line defence has been poor all year and how long Keary is out for.
Angus had his best game all year. Good to see.
I hope I can say the same about Momo and Watto one day.
How badly do we need Verrills back?

Yes, Watson is making too many errors & Momo’s defence has been crap. That’s on them, not the coach. It’s not Robbos fault Watson threw a stupid forward pass & knocked on at the ruck. It’s not Robbos fault Momo is missing tackles.
I’m so sick of the blame Robbo, sack Robbo bullshit. He’s won 3 premierships at this club & seen us through some really hard times. He’s lead the way to get the diving out of the game & made this club something to be truely proud of. Clubs like Melbourne & their fans have to run 2 sets of books so they can convince themselves they deserve their wins. They pretend to have integrity knowing that once you scratch the surface they’re little more than cheats & grubs.
        Your a sore loser.
Melbourne are a sensational Rugby League Club. Rugby League is a rough tough dirty grubby game & Melbourne for 20 years have aimed up. They have lost once in a lifetime players & have been able to replace them with players that turn out to be just as good whilst continuing to bring in no names who play like players from the opposition teams who are rep players. They develop players who become champions like no other club.
Watch the game again & watch how many tackles Manu misses. Momo is not that bad in defence.

The issue is apart from Brett Morris Trent hasn’t recruited or developed any outside backs that have gone on to be top line players. Even BMoz was a risk at his age but proved me wrong.
JS can’t be included as he was already touted as the next big thing coming through South’s ranks.

As good as Robbo is he needs to take some ownership of the recruitment, retention and development of our outside backs.

Forget Momo, the time i scratched my head was when he re-signed Dale Copley.
Won’t be surprised if Robbo picks up Brendan Elliot this year (tongue in cheek).

As good as Robbo is at unearthing some future talent in the forwards his development of outside backs leaves a bit to be desired. Manu is the exception.

Even the ones he give an opportunity to we manage to lose…..RTS and Latrell

We can't beat Melbourne, Penrith and souffs. We can beat everyone else which makes the losses to Newcastle, the Dragons, the Dogs and Canberra so disastrous. They're the losses that screwed our season and I totally blame Robinson for those losses. His stupid belief of building into a season is costing us big time, he needs to have our side raring to go from rd1, the way Melbourne does. I don't think we'll make the 8 and you can blame those 4 losses. Robinson needs a rocket up him.

Win, lose or draw my opinion of Melbourne won’t change. I never expected to win tonight & I’m really happy with some of things we did on the park.
All of Melbourne’s success is tainted, they may well be a star making machine that turns average first graders into superstars. None of the successful things they do happen in a vacuum, you can’t ignore the salary cap cheating that cheapens that period of their history, the wrestle, grapple, chicken wing & every other cheap shot, dirty tactic they’ve brought into the game.
Rugby league is a tough & brutal game, but there’s no need for it to be grubby. There’s a big difference between playing hard & tough & sailing close to the line like JWH & plenty of other guys we’ve seen play this game & cheap shot grubs like Felise Kafusi, Josh Maguire, Sam Burgess etc.
I’ll celebrate the wins we get knowing that we’ve earned them, knowing that we haven’t laid down to milk penalties. We win based on our ability to play rugby league not on how well we’ve been drilled in taking dives or cheap shotting opponents out of the game.

Agree, but still yet to see what Ryles has brought to the team despite his CV.

Don’t want to keep picking on the Momo, but it isn’t just his one on one misses, he looks nervous reading the defence, and then is left in no man’s land.

that is definitely a coaching issue, Robbo loves defence, he calls it a dance, Momo is confusing the footy dance floor, for a Macedonian wedding.

This embarrassing rd1 stat loss year after year needs to stop. It's become bit of a amusing stat amongst fans/commentators which Robbo shouldn't take as acceptable every year.

Also to build into a season you have to hope everything falls into place along the way & avoid injuries, suspensions..etc

Like I said Melbourne have aimed up for 20 years in a brutal sport. They are the top dogs

He's the coach isn't he? He prepares the team, instills the tactics, gets the team motivated. Your comment is idiotic.
