We are fringe 8 right now with parra and Penrith away to come. If this sort of consistency persists surely questions will be asked come seasons end of some of the players.

      Can't win without the 'cattle'.
We just don't have the right 'cattle'.
      Simple as that.
Trouble is, at the 'sale yard' the 'cattle' on offer are not really what we need.

Not easy being consistent in the brave new world of helter skelter rugba leeg and the game management dished out to us.

The game has changed - we haven't! The sex again rule has destroyed the idea that a team can defend its way to victory. A team gets down the other end, is effectively defended against (old style good football) but now the ref gets a rush of blood and calls sex again, and if he is really excited calls sex again. The result; more tries, more lies and a game I now despise!

If we had a 9 that asked questions around the ruck it would make all the difference.

Still won’t help the poor edge defense

that is definitely a coaching issue, Robbo loves defence, he calls it a dance, Momo is confusing the footy dance floor, for a Macedonian wedding.
The problem is inside Momirovski .

Walker is not a good defender at this stage of his career and he does make poor choices in defence putting pressure on inside and outside defenders and the left side is being targeted as a result because he defends there

Walker so far in 2022 is 6th on the missed tackles lists with 50 after 14 games - Momirovski who defends outside him is 42nd with 31 missed tackles in 12 games.- In 2021 Walker although not playing many minutes in some games finished with 72 missed tackles from 22 games.

Keary is a better defender but also puts pressure on inside and outside defenders - Manu who defends oustide Keary is 16th in missed tackles with 41 after 14 games.- 2021 Manu 57 missed tackles in 23 games

Keary and Walker are both small halves and are naturally targets in defence for opponents attack and as a result put pressure on inside and outside defenders as the stats above clearly show.

There was no issue with Momirovski's defence last year at Penrith - why is that - the players inside him were better defenders - I think that is for certain - across the board better defenders as well including better defensive systems , structures and defensive efforts.

I would defend Keary and Walker on the wing and change this wait watch and see crab/slide defence - move up in one line and cut down the oppositions time and space and and make them play not wait until they do something and then react to it.

do you think Walker and Keary should drop back on the 4th tackle for kicks and return the ball from a deep corner into the teeth of the opposition forward pack?

The Wingers can drop back for general field kicks . switch for the attacking kicks and do the hit ups still.

If teams run it on the last then you have the sideline as an extra defender with the slide defence.

In NFL you don't have your quarterback defending.

It's an old ploy to hide your halves on the wing .
more for a breather on the blind side .
If it was permanent it would become a point of attack imo

T.I.T, or Trust In Trent....what ever happened to that silly slogan?

I'll always be eternally grateful that he has won 3 premierships. However, that shouldn't exclude him from constructive criticism because not everything Robbo touches turns to Gold, especially since 2020.

Does winning 3 comps make u forever great. What about Souffs, does winning 21 comp make them forever great? Some will see my point...some won't. No probs

Get the point but not sure I see the correlation between a coach who’s won 2 out of the last 4 premierships and South Sydney who have 1 in the last 50.

                              Everyone is open to criticism.

I'm been saying for 4 or 5 yrs we are very top heavy...we have enough stars but our depth is lacking and certain players in the squad is letting the whole down.

This time last yr peeps were raving about our great depth because we were winning even though injuries ravaged us. Some even said we have the best depth in the comp ha.

Gonna be tough times ahead when JWH, Toops etc retire soon...even losing SST and perhaps Angus...

Forwards depth appears worse than the backs..
