  • Joseph Suaalii to left centre

As we’ve seen the last few weeks, big Joe Suaalii can defend as well as attack. He would be a huge deterrent for opposition attacks as he can hit with vigour and make players think twice about running in his direction.

Which is what we need for our left centre: a big bastard who can play both sides of the ball. Joe could do it easily, he defends too good for the wing.

The Roosters recently won premierships with a big burly gun centre/fullback who has since departed. Time to replace him.

With the Chooks on the edge of the eight and the season unravelling with a ‘must win’ game against fellow premiership aspirants Parra, when will Trent make the call?

    This week?

How many games did latrell play on the wing in first grade before he was moved to centre?

It's robbos blueprint to do this with young backs. He could stay on the wing all year.

It's been said we don't have a lot of up n comers to choose from apart from Billy Smith. He could shift Suaali in by taking his wing spot. But it looks unlikely.

We've signed momo for 3 years.

I believe broseph will be a centre eventually. May not happen as soon as some want.

Can we clone him lol, he symmetrically balances our backline I almost don't want to lose him as a winger.

The back three are so critical to a teams go forward these days not centres. Joe’s hit ups and aerial threat means he needs to stay on the wing. We have no other viable options.

i just wrote that i thought suaalii should go to left centre this week in another thread without seeing this one. i agree. momo needs some time with the bears and billy smith doesn't make a better case to play at left centre. it might give joe more chance to shine with ball in hand and should stop the left side leaking and billy smith is a big strong fellow made to take tough winger's carries off the line

I think JS should stay right where he is, he is doing a great job. If Momi gets dropped then Smith is the logical replacement.

He's playing well on the right wing and in due time will slowly transition to a centre role but with the current state, I think it would be disruptive to shift him and then risk making our right side weak.

We also have the luxury of arguably the two best aerial-attacking threats in the comp with "Air Toops and Suaalii Airways" being able to take-off and fly 35,000 ft AGL at the moment and this is quite useful for our halves with their kicking game. Plus the Manu and Suaalii combo will only get better and better as the season continues so it wouldn't be wise to break that combo up (in my opinion).

The sooner the better we have a couple of wingers waiting in the wings at the bears

I think he is ready. Momo to Norths. JS to left centre.

If it happens this week against the Eels, he’d go head to head with his mate Will Penisini

Carr seems as though he has been close to getting a start. Momo is dogshit and please no Kevin.

Billy Smith and Vuate Karawalevu are other options as well

Tomm Carr is listed as a centre on his NSWRL profile so whynot leave Suallii on the right wing and place Carr at left centre ?

We call Kevin the Cessna. Every other team has a flying Fijian. We have a Cessna

                              We play the Broncos soon.
Staggs will be trying his luck thru our left side defence.
I'd be leaving Suaalii where he is for now, and playing someone who can whackle Staggs at left centre.
                              Whyte?
                              Gus?
                              Sitili?
                              May?
Moses Suli is Dragons left centre...1.89m 109kg age 24.
Exactly what we need, Tongan centre like him.
Toops knows Tonga, royalty was at his wedding...maybe Toops and his connections could find us one.
