Is there a list of suspensions and time served for each incident? Had a quick look, but I think it needs the expertise of King Salvos statistical genius.

I'm going to have to get myself a swear jar this week...here are some stats...we are pretty low in terms of player suspensions so far this year..

Could not prove intent. The NRL judiciary are bunch of lost f*ckwits with sh*t for brains. Those MRC clowns issued a pathetic monetary fine and allowed the Storm an easy course of action to challenge.
Worst case = Found guilty and unsuccessful in his challenge, still no suspension but his fine would've been increased from $1800 to $2500 ... like WHAT THE F*CK !?
Best case = NOTHING !
What an absolute joke !

- Intent... pretty much requires you to confess and say 'I intentionally banged his head against the ground, hoping that he'd get concussion and need to go off for an HIA'. Unlikely, but there's often an incentive for people to confess (e.g. a downgrade in the penalty) as it demonstrates regret / self-reflection and makes everybody's life easier.
- 'Carelessness' is similar to 'negligence'. An act of omission has led to a bad result. This is why the NRL bozos always ask players 'WHAT WAS YOUR DUTY OF CARE?!?' It's not about what you meant to do. What was your duty of care to that player? Did you breach it by not following various safety standards in regards to a proper tackle...etc? IMO this is gonna capture most technicalities. Like... you're a professional and didn't WANT to hurt anybody. However, you got tied up in the moment and forgot to follow all safety protocols.
- Recklessness is basically the same outcome as intent. This is for when you've done something so batshit crazy that it doesn't matter what you were thinking, it was farking insane. For example if you grab a guy buy the shoulders, hammer his head against the ground multiple times and then say 'oh nah I was just trying to rough him up... not cause a head injury' then you're not gonna receive any type of concession because it was so damn obvious that what you did breached every single safety guideline one can think of (and don't feel an inch of guilt having done so).
---
I haven't seen the 'charges' against Kafusi or re-played footage of Walker copping it so it's hard to say anything else. However, the guy was contesting a $1,800 fine so must have been pretty darn confident he was gonna get off to even bother challenging!
Be great if the NRL could do a video of the tackle and explain why it's okay. Instead, all they give us is a video of Naden flipping a guy beyond then horizontal mark (no explanation needed there).Last edited by ism22; 06-15-2022, 12:09 AM.

Paul Gallen’s take - it was a deliberate attack to Sam’s head but so what:
“It’s a contact sport. It’s a part of the game,” Gallen said on Nine’s 100% Footy. “Did he mean it? You know what? He probably did. But it’s a contact sport, and I just think it’s part of the game. I don’t think he should have been charged at all.”

Absoute madness. they send guys off for 10 minutes for ridiculous minimal accidental contact with the head, yet this thug shoves his elbow into the head of a defenceless player whose head is on the ground, causing the player to leave the field, and gets nothing.... no penalty, no fine. Madness.
