Moses couldn't tie Keary's shoelace let alone be in the same breath of conversation !

Future discussion = Burton over Moses any day !

Who started this rumour ? Go and neck yourself ... bloody hell !

No need for that extreme... do you even know what that means?

Munster 5 tries and 7 linebreaks in 12 games
          Walker 5 tries & 9 linebreaks in 14 games

There’s really not much in the difference between the 3.

I think Moses has proven he’s capable of playing as an organising halfback and would allow Walker just to continue to develop and create points which is what he does best. Sure some time in the future I’m sure Walker will transition into a halfback but listening to creative 5/8’s of the modern era by like Benji & Shaun Johnson that learning curve doesn’t really happen until your late 20’s.

I’ll say something controversial - I think Walker is the most creative half in the game currently and if he’s not it’s only a matter of time until he is. To sign another 5/8 and push him into the halfback role where he needs to be thinking about set transitions, tempo of play, structure & game management would be stifling to the creativity, flair & freedom that he currently plays with.

Which to me is absolute madness because Sam Walker is the most creative player in the game.

Keeping in mind this is all hypothetical as I’m sure Keary will be fine.
The thing is neither Benji or Shaun Johnson came into First Grade with a clue about organizing a football team. They had never done it in their juniors and were off the cuff footballers. Sam Walker has played halfback all his life and has been the organizer in every team he has played, albeit at an inferior level. The comparison between those 2 and Walker just isn't relevant. Walker has a hell of a lot higher footballing IQ than they ever had and they are not a benchmark to compare to. I can't see what Walker could learn from Moses apart from choking under pressure.

You missed out on the 70's and 80's which was the era of great halfbacks, many who were incredible from an early age, like Peter Sterling, Steve Mortimer, Kevin Hastings and Tommy Raudonikis. There were also very good first grade level halves such as Craig Coleman, Barry Russell and Greg Alexander (actually he is closer to the first category). These guys had great organizing ability from an early age but in many cases they were extremely creative as well, like Walker. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

It's just in more recent times where kids are trained like robots that the creativity has been coached out of them, however every once in a while we will still get a halve who can both organize and create. Buying Moses would be such a backwards step, he just can't aim up when it counts and would be a vote of no confidence in Walker that he couldn't organize a team. We need to move forward not backwards, though I doubt either is signing with us anyway. It's just that if the club was looking at Moses, then I would rather Burton, which would be in 2024, not next year.

we'll try to keep walker until 2040 and we have keary until 2024 so any talks could only have been to cover the possibility of keary getting another knock but unless that happens and it probably won't he won't be coming here soon

If PC stands for Person who Cares then yes, put me down for some of that. Some on here have lost loved ones recently including a much loved and long term member of this forum. Take a look around sometime..

Mate, you've taken my comment out of context and blown it out or proportion by overreacting. No need to take a comment (Aussie slang) and twist it around.

Just for the record, I meant no offence towards anyone who has lost a loved one nor was my comment directed towards any specific member or person !

If there is an issue with my comment then by all means the Admins of this forum can deal with it/me but you've gone off on a tangent and I will not be commenting on this any further !

FFS.... ofcourse your comment was innocent, and random, and expressing a strong opinion, but not aimed at anyone or meant to cause offence..... this is a farking footy forum. To claim your random comment causes offence to anyone who has lost loved ones is a farking stretch, and it offends me.

Dont worry the person quite often takes things out of context and goes of in wild directions . Just happens to be your turn . Duck for cover.

You were actually one of the people I was being sensitive to. Didn't you mention several times that you lost your mother recently?

You also said one of your daughters is a mental health nurse. Does she know how you treat women online? Would she be proud of the way you carried on here last year towards me? Stop being such a hypocrite. You cannot have it both ways. Grow up and shut up..you are too old to be carrying on like this. Back on topic, Mitchell is not coming to play with the Roosters. End of story.
