Has signed for the Dogs, Gus confirmed it's a top 30 contract

Shame as he looked a good talent and has been scoring tries for fun at the Bears playing on an edge

That is a shame. He seemed to handle the jump to playing for Norths pretty well. Time will tell, but they might have got under our guard there. Anyway, I am sure we'll find a replacement, either from within or outside our system. Wish him the best of luck.

      WOW.
Captain of our Flegg team and a second rower and we have let him go?

Too many second rowers in our development systems/feeder teams ... unfortunately there's gonna be a few we miss/let go

        Good luck to him !

Can’t get them all right of course. Thought he was a half decent prospect in some of the Bears games I watched last season. He’s exceeded expectations and then some so far for the Dogs. Absolute machine on that left edge, and gets through a silly amount of work, both in attack, and defence. Two more tries today, and I’d say a lot more to come. They have got a good one on their hands at Belmore.

Bit early to tell yet. Wong is a couple of years younger so give him some time

Dogs offered more cash - contract wise plus a pre-season train and trial deal - 2 k a week for 14 weeks. and of course a more realistic chance to play NRL

Being a backrower he had E and N Butcher/ Crichton / Sitili / Whyte in front of him for starters.

Siua Wong & Ethan Roberts both with higher ceilings.

                  Can't keep them all.

As to the question, should we have kept young Presto (personally id say yes).....is there a Whyte or Wong answer?

He's been playing right edge despite a left hand ball carry to accommodate Kikau and along with Mahoney been the dogs best so far this season. Showed that he is probably even better on the left edge last weekend, he's got a great work ethic and always in the game. He looks like a terrific team player but as mentioned you can't keep them all.

They've followed clubs like the Roosters and work on the basis that rugby league is a professional sport.

Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.
