  • Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Parra

Things are starting to get pretty desperate for us. We can’t go into the bye having lost three in a row and with the prospect of playing the top team next game. Nothing but the 2 points will be acceptable tonight. We are falling behind the pack.

Some judges had us as favourites to win the comp at the beginning of the season. The disappointment begun in round 1. Tonight we can begin to salvage what has been a very average year. Still not too late to fix it and get back our aura.

    It’s time to fire up.

    GO ROOSTERS!

ps. If in the unlikely event of a loss, don’t feel the need to start a thread on every individual player who puts a foot wrong. All these comments can go here.

    Well said Thirteen..on all counts..

I say just get in there and rattle them right from kickoff. They'll be facing their home crowd with heavy expectations on them coming off an embarrassing loss.

Just ambush them and keep going Roosters...

Will be a tough game but I will be out there cheering the boys on…

cmon easts like you’ve mentioned thirteen we are on the verge of falling out of the 8 with the champs in front of us away. We need a big game tonight.

      EASTS TO WIN

P.S Excited to see Verrilis back tonight and hoping he can bullet some passes to Sammy and co tonight to sharpen our attack, we’ll need it after losing kezza!

Root em, shoot em ,electrocute em.
We really are missing Rads and JWH, and having Kez out just when he was hitting form is a blow.
If we had those 3 on the park we would blow these pretenders away no problem, and once they are back we will be moving up the ladder.
But we still have plenty of ammo to throw at them and I reckon we win this as long as we start well and smash them in defence.
I'm expecting a big game from Walker, and hoping Smith goes well. Hutch just needs to be steady, get some good kicks in, be solid in defence and give good service to Smith, since I am guessing he will play on the left with Walker playing halfback on the right .
Angus has looked good the last couple of weeks, I think he is playing for a SOO spot, and a big game tonight will probably get it for him.
Teddy, Toops, Joey, JS, thats some prime cattle there...... we need our grunts to get the job done in the middle and hopefully Sammy V to get them rolling with some great dummy half play and then I reckon we can we can put a number on them.

Parra are obviously an unsettled team at the moment . Think we should be up for this one and should win well. Roosters by 10 . Go the Chooks

Better side than last week, Keary out is a huge loss, I dont think robbo will play hutch at half i reckon he will move Walker to the 7 see what happens, wont be much in this game, we have a lot of players out, Jarrod ,Rads ,Keary ,Parramatta will try to go thru us in the middle if they manage to do that they win we hold them in the battle of the pigs and our backs will win it for us

I hate the fact that we play these guys with Keary, JWH and Radley missing. The game at Parra Stadium last year still burns inside me. I cannot stand Dylan Brown, such a shame JWH isn't playing.

They will carry on like they've won the premiership if they win tonight.

And if we lose we face the prospect of four straight losses. Not good enough.

Looking forward to seeing something we are yet to see like Joseph Suaalii making a bust, getting into enough space to hit the afterburners and making Guffo look silly as he runs around him to score under the sticks.

Looking forward to the game, I never know what too expect from us these days so I have no predictions. It disappoints me that people want to gag people on what they can and cannot start threads on. To comment like this is a sign to me they are deeply concerned about a loss today and the ensuing fallout and temper tantrums which for some make that loss a little bit easier to stomach. For others it eases the pain by the amusement these threads give them

About a year ago I once said to someone at their home whilst sipping tea I like to live by the saying Do what you want to do, be who you want to be. So no matter what happens tonight win or lose. Come on here during or after the game and be yourself post whatever it is you feel like posting but just make sure it is within this wonderful forums guidelines.

Apparently we have a rookie referee this week Hopefully his mind is impenetrable he thinks for himself and he referees a fair and balanced match where the rules of this great game are equally interpreted for both sides

I'm around this mark tonight too, Vasco.

They will be desperate to bounce back after last weeks embarrassment. Shit of a ground too.

Not lovin Hutch at starting half, or Fifita on the bench. Other options but TIT as they say.

RWB near the money I think with our start crucial. Don't let them get a chance for confidence and rhythm by playing from in front. Beware the home ground 6 agains.

Can't tip against us, but confidence not high tonight.
