  • Still an inexperienced team

Just looking through the team last night we are still extremely inexperienced in our key spine players (6,7 and 9)
From the below when Rads, Keary and JWH are back and with Smith onboard at 9 next year I believe we need to target an experienced Prop.

I believe 2024 we will have the roster with the right experience to win !
    • Teddy - 194
    • JS -15
    • Manu -129
    • B Smith -10
    • Tupou - 214
    • Walker - 36
    • Hutchinson - 48
    • Collins - 62
    • Verrills - 38
    • SST - 164
    • Crichton- 131
    • Tupouniua-75
    • N Butcher - 92
    • E Butcher -18
    • Baker - 30
    • Watson- 115
    • DSF - 20

I agree, we need an experienced prop, JWH is not going to be with us forever.

We will need at least 2 more experienced props come 2024....

I dont think more than one of our younger middle brigade will become a regular NRL player in a team contending for comps......

Not all doom and gloom as people may think - Parra are a good side so no disgrace to lose to them. The Chooks need to find a game plan that they can implement over 80 minutes week in week out.

Currently the Chooks have periods in games where their standard drops which coincides in an increase in errors ( handling errors/missed tackles and ill discipline) resulting in the conceding of points.

They need to work on their defence not only on individual deficiencies but deficiencies when defending as team.

Each player needs to be aware of their role individually and as part of a team in defence and implement what they did at training as I assume they prep for games for how their opposition plays in both attack and defence.

They say the best from of defence is attack.

The Chooks attack is still not producing the required results game after game and this was seen last night again in the second half. There are line breaks made when the ball carrier has no players in support - happens too often and not sure why this is.- Generally the support play is poor.

You need to test and put the oppositions defence under pressure by having a range of attacking options - The Chooks rely on the Sitili all or nothing charge at the try line /the bomb to either Toops or Suaalii or Tedesco creating something. - Manu and Walker on occassions as well

The halves need to take more control of the attack as it is up to them to direct the attack - same as a director shooting a movie.

A lot to work on but not areas that are beyond improving.

They put themselves in this hole only they can dig themselves out of it.

Our starting team when fully available & firing is top4 no doubt BUT! our depth is not like before. One or two players get injured & we feel it instantly.

            Collins?

He's one of the comp's form props.
