  • Who replaces Guerra next weekend?

will be interesting to find out how long Guerra is out for with his ankle injury, judging by the reaction of the raiders players tackling him there must of been a crack/pop sound heard as they were signaling for play to be stopped straight away, hopefully its a best case scenario and only strained ligaments and not a syndesmosis that could rule him out for half the season.

there are quite a few options that Smith has at his disposal

    - straight swap with Cordner coming back into the side
    - move Anasta to 11 and Mortimer to 6 with Mitchell back on the bench
    - Symonds or Bosden or Takairangi comes in for Guerra in a straight swap
    - Moga comes in for Guerra and BJ moves into the pack on the left edge

    Possible Lineup for next weekend

    Mini
    BJ
    Moga
    SKD
    Perrett
    Anasta
    Pearce
    Kennedy
    Friend
    JWH
    Cordner
    Maubs
    FPN
    Mortimer
    Arona
Mose (needs a spell at Newtown has lost his spark so far this season) either Symonds/Takairangi/Bosden should come in
    Tasi

although it wouldn't surpise if Smith after raving about Mitchell's performance for Newtown uses the Anasta to the pack option as his choice.

And Boyd Cordner will obviously replace him. He should have been in the side before him.

I would bring Taka in for Mose which means either Cordner or Bosden.. I like Cordner but would love to see Bosden get a run.

I agree Mose needs a spell, playing the storm next week we need some speed with the size and I would bring in Symonds and Bosden ....spell Arona as well.

wouldn't take what Dr John says on twitter too serious, he tweeted after the foundation cup no serious injuries and since then Moga has been out for 5 weeks and is no certainty to line up next weekend.

fingers crossed for Guerra that its just a mild ligament sprain and nothing more serious.

You have it wrong CARNEY will be in the run on side & deserves to be. Moga will not be there.

Cordner needs to put on 10 kg he is not ready for FG & I am a massive fan of his.
Melbourne will want Mortimer to play 5/8 because they will own him.
So Anasta has to play 5/8.
Symonds is the man to come straight in for Guerra if he is unfit. Tasi Bosden Takairangi & Mitchell on the bench resting Mose Arona & Morts

Man BJ just has to play 2nd row. He is a nice ball runner and has a lovely offload. I admit he hasn't done much this season but he has some good stuff in him.

Why the fark would you rest Mortimer for next week when he provided the spark that gave us the win today? He had a rest last week, he doesn't need another one.

I for one would like to see more of Mortimer on the field, not less. And he showed against the Vermin he is up to the defensive load, they ran at him all night and he handled it OK.

We will need to score points to get anywhere near Melbourne. And Mortimer is one of our best chances of scoring those points. He can sniff out a try that lad.

We won't win Melbourne by trying to beat them at the bash and barge, that's for sure.

I dont disagree with anything you have said about Mortimer but I just dont think he is the guy to go with this week against the Storm any other team yes but not this weekend.

Ball security & defence is the key this week end not ad lib footy. Any mistakes you make against Melbourne will cost you big time & as exciting as Mortimer may be playing Melbourne doesnt suit his game.

Ball security and defense and kicks to the corners, out as often as possible. Even dead if that's all we can manage.

If we let Slater get the ball too often on the full or with any space he will murder our slugs.

I don't like our chances of winning or even completing those tasks but I guess stranger things have happened.

IMO Mortein starting would be our only option, or not playing at all. I doubt him coming on later in the 1/2s would be a worry to them, they are too fit to get carved up the middle. Probably better to go with the extra forward against Melba.

And one note Pearce and Death, poison and passes over the sideline are?

Mickey, love you but you're full of crap on this one.

Mortimer has nothing to do with ad lib footy. His strength is his support play and hole running.. Pearce was one of if not the worst offenders when it came to throwing stupid passes.

But Johnny what if I masturbate with Morris in front of a back lit mirror would you see it my way then?

John tell me more about you 2nd girlfriend?
