Been saying it for ages that the Chooks need to get Burton to replace Keary the only problem will be Gus.
He is building the Bulldogs around Burton & you can now see signs ( now Barrett is gone) that they are going to get better. I’m not saying they’re gonna win the comp this year or next but I think next year they’re going to be competitive against all the teams not just against the Roosters, Parra, Tigers & Cowboys.
I would prefer a 23/24 year old champion then a 30/31 year old former champion.

Yeah he played great against the Drizz. People are so flaky when it comes to our players...

I would love a half that can kick further than 10m

How are you going to have both?

'It was said' by fans only I think. No one in the know.

He would be a complete waste of cap space if we don't have the cattle up front to allow him to do his job.

No point having even the best 5/8 unless you have the forwards making space for them, need a front rower.

I would love to see it but
The engine room needs some attention , we won't get the best out of the cheese if we don't give him good go forward men in the middle...

There is enough strike in the backline and Walkers kicking needs to be more accurate then long. Cooper Cronk didn't have a big boot but was very effective.
Then when Keary has had enough Manu can go to 5/8 and we would just need another big bodied centre like Lomax

I reckon that Suaalii can be like Latrell was in the centres, a big hard rough centre that pulls off the big plays better than Lomax. Smith & Suaalii have the potential to be the most lethal centre pairing in the game.
