Odds for next week - we are paying 5 dollars. When was the last time a near full strength robbo coached side was out at $5.

Really? I’m definitely taking that up particularly if JWH, Keary and Rads are back!

I'm led to recall this one..

"Better to be thought a fool and remain silent, than to speak and remove all doubt".

Variously attributed to Lincoln and Twain, and may even have its roots in the Good Book itself.

I was earning good money back then, and I could afford it, I often had $500 on us to win a game.
I didn't do it, but I did have $100 on them. I reckon I'll do the same now.
Wait till after the Penrith game when the odds will blow out even more

For some we could paraphrase that to "Than to type and remove all doubt".

Easier to fool a fool then convince them they have been fooled

25's for Easts sounds about right. I haven't seen a recent market, but mine would be something like this:

                      7/4 Penrith
                      7/2 Melbourne
                      5 Parramatta
                      10 Cowboys
                      14 Cronulla
                      16 Souths
                      20 Brisbane
                      25 Canberra, Easts
                      33 St George, Manly
                      100+ the others

I wish you well with your bet. But think it will be a losing one. I would though be overjoyed if you were to win Some of my money from Royal Ascot is down tonight and tomorrow night at the Curragh in Ireland Couple of very good horses at good odds. This is when I get really excited about gambling as the odds are at least double that of what I consider there true winning chance to be

But no way do Brisbane or Cowboys win. And the Eels are the Eels.

So by my reckoning a full strength Roosters side with momentum would still be the least desirable proposition for the top two.
Can beat the 2 heavyweights but get done by the spoon contenders.
If things play out for them & they get the right draw in the semi's they can win it.
                                I put Parra at 3rd.
I think the Cowboys can get to the GF if they keep their spine fit especially Drinkwater & Townsend. They have strike x factor & their forwards Taumalolol, Cotter, Nani, Luki until injured & McLean are on this year. Their defence is second best in the comp & only teams who have the best defence or 2nd best defence win the comp.
