Well I am happy to say that I put my money where my mouth is at the start of the season and put $250 on the Roosters at $2.50 to make the 8.

Mind you at the time I thought that Tagive, Bosden, Moga and Takarangi would be permanent fixtures in the FG ahead of some of the other useless gimps, but hopefully Smith will eventually see sense and give these guys a go.

You just called him a Lone Rooster, highly offensive if you ask me!

For you idiots that have backed us for the spoon well we are now two wins further away from it than we could be. For those of you who hoped we would make the 8, we are now two wins closer to that.

What else did you expect? A champion team that would dominate every week? There are some real clowns on this forum. We suck but we have gotten better each week. Winning ugly is better than losing.
Complaints are justified. We may have fluked 2 wins but our performances have been pathetic. Completion rates are higher in under 5s!

Whilst I'm pleased the Roosters won, the win does not detract from the glaring problems inherent in this team which don't appear to be being addressed. I also don't agree that they've gotten better week to week. They're my opinions, you have yours, yet only one of us will resort to calling the other names.

Yes dopey but it only includes any individual that chooses to identify as a whining arsehole. Seriously the bitching and moaning that has been going on here over the past few weeks is incredibly boring.

mate you are one of the best posters here but the reality is apart from Conn, the club got rid of the rest. So it cannot complain that it is stuck with a bunch of inexperienced kids.

Its generally the same team that we had towards the end of last year. I thought it was a good move to let the kids get experience and they performed well. Not sure what happened in the off season but their attack leaves you thinking that this team have not played together before.

There is plenty of NRL experience in the team but lack cohesion and structure. We won yesterday but our structure/attack but not a marked improvement on last week

                      Still early in the season.
Awful, painful game to watch but I saw promising signs yesterday.
They aren't afraid to have a go & try things.
Given time these things will stick & become routine.

                        Positive thought!!

My view for what its worth - extremely young team and in the past young teams always get better as the season goes on, our defensive efforts have been indeed quite solid bearing in mind the amount of work we have had to do due to incomplete sets, getting flogged in the penalty count continually early in matches before the refs square up a couple late in the match which doesnt give an accurate picture, and simply dud calls which have us on defending more than attacking.

All in all, there is a lot to look forward to, not withstanding talent or you might call it depth with Moga, Tagive, Bosden and a cast of thousands etc whose lack of inclusion has caused so much debate amongst the chookpen. Coach SMITH at least has a variety of options which admittingly hasnt seen fit to use yet but they are there, again a good thing over a long season.

After 4 x blockbuster games end of last season!!!!

Smith said 'we will take this attitude & approach, improve it & take it to a new level over the off season & carry it in to 2012'

The bar was set, ......& obviously where we left off (set completions, tackle busts, run metres etc etc) seems a distant memory...

FACT: The Roosters completed 19 of 38 sets compared to Canberra's 26 of 37, while the home team made 19 errors to the Raiders' 11.

Obviously the off season was spent on their ass!!!

                              Who's complaining???

I'm merely trying to explain, to a cereal whinger, why IMO I believe we will be rocks and diamonds this season. Any team losing that sort of experience will struggle at times.

I've accepted our lot for this season mate, and I accept it's mostly our own doing. I also understand why these things have been done and respect those that have had to make these difficult decisions.

Shit running any sporting club, especially one like ours, would be a very tough gig.

And look anyone can Whinge whenever they want. But IMO some have an agenda here. And I will point and at them every time we happen to win, cos I know it's pissing them off.

                              You know it makes sense.

Not to mention we are still yet to field a full strength backline. Pretty soon we will get flogged and then the complaining will really begin.
