What position does Manu play next ?

I don’t know where to put him. All I know is the more touches he has the more dangerous we are.

I hate to say it but I think Keary is more of a burden than an asset these days. Probably due to the fact that Robbo has put him on a side of the field he’s just not naturally comfortable with. But what do I know.

And we know this cause last season Teddy played fullback, halfback and five-eight.

Joey Manu is an attacking force and we need to utilise his attacking ability a lot more when we have the ball.

I’m not sure which position accommodates his skills the most but Robbo needs to work it out as it will help our side immensely for years to come..

Just watching Manu play FB for the NZ got me thinking where does he play next

• Fullback when Teddy retires , JS to centre
• 5/8 when Keary retires , Rob Toia to centre
• Stays at centre

what does everyone think

It's a point given he's now NZ's incumbent FB. My thinking...

- Roaming centre as Teddy's the better FB

- He's not 5/8 quality as his kicking and passing aren't there... he can fill-in though

- Teddy's 29 and Manu's 24... we might get a few years outta him as FB once Teddy's retired (in 6+ years) but Suaalii might be the more obvious option by then

I think if he played out his career at FB I think he beats Ted for sure. His ceiling is way higher then Teddy’s.

More of a natural ball playing and kicking ability.

Manu will be 26 in a few days AND yes he can definitely make it as a 5:8th.

Do you blokes watch Manu or what? He has a couple of TA’s this year from his kicks, the same last year. I am not saying it’s the end product but he definitely has the potential to grow his kicking game into something more.

Heck even last night he had 4 kicks.
