Whilst I respect the right of others to post their opinions. The cheap shots by some on one of our own players who last night represented his country with aplomb seem unnecessary.

Lam should be on the bench instead of Watson at this stage

Not a Lam fan at all but probably a fair point with our 14 having to cover 9 so much. In saying that Verrills is back and expect him to play 80min very shortly and we can finally see Watson as a running 14

            I love Papau New Guinea.
            They are granite hard.
Naiqama, Lammy & my favorite Olam were unreal.
I will be very surprised if Melbourne don’t sign a couple more of them.
The Rugby League fraternity has to get a test match played out of PNG they deserve it.

missed the game but reckon png should be the 18th nrl team if they're looking for one. makes sense for a country that has league as its number one sport and it would be a soft diplomacy coup

Interesting thought… if they played again next week, would the result go the same way?
I hope some of our forwards watched how to tackle last night. The boys shut down big Kikau easily.

maybe you're right but our federal government could provide some assistance. they don't play league in china and the sport is probably the greatest thing that connects png to us

I 100% agree, how low do they need to go to bag someone proudly playing for their home country. Lam has not achieved greatness in the NRL, but he has never been paid as a great player either, and there are plenty who have been paid more who have done no better than he has.

Don't forget Kokoda. PNG and AUS will forever be connected.

What next? A 20 team comp with Tonga and Samoa as well?
