This my theory..I am sure I am right....and he isn't so daffy either.
    Thought it was brilliant.
He got Tedesco to run rings around the ruck.zpicking a point of direction.straight into them drawing 3 jigging left and right drawing another 3...effectively bunching up their forwards..quick play the ball ..hence giving Cleary a ton of room to work..you know the rest.
Brave man our Teddy..took the pack on and they didn't even realise it.
Something for Robbo to think about next game against the Riff and Melbourne.
oh yeah and someone that kick like Burton.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

Ha Teddy does that every game for us - still we can't score points

he seems to confuse our own attack more than anything

Teddy and Toops (Crichton to an extent too) seem to run a lot of metres without being the star of the show.

Cleary clinched the moment and IMO Easts lack that someone at the moment. It's almost as if we're a team of toilers that lacks a finisher (which Teddy, Walker and Keary can all be, but aren't right now).

        Dunno the solution!

BTW I don't think we should ignore the importance of sending Kaufusi off. QLD were stifling our attack in the first half by coming up too quickly. By sending Kaufusi off, the ref said 'ENOUGH!!! Go back 10 and stop being silly buggers'. We then found momentum, they got tired and we piled on the points as silly errors crept into their game (e.g. Munster passing to... was it Paulo?)

Teddy tired them out for sure, and that's when players like Cleary are ruthless. But... IMO Easts always have a Kaufusi grubbing us up and without them being reprimanded, we're stuck in the same arm wrestle that NSW was (IMO) gradually losing during the first half.

Not saying our players are inadequate. However, we lack the knockout punch that NSW had in that game. Teddy, Toops, Collins and Crichton were four of the beat toilers in that game and they're ours!!! Somebody needs to step-up and start seizing the big moments before they evaporate.

          From what I've seen:

We don't have a decent kicking game.
We make stupid mistakes and give away penalties.
The six agains fatigues us out and we try and catch our breath when we need to attack with the ball.

I think the players are all trying their guts out.

that's teddy's style - he creates things off his own bat. people who criticise him for not linking up with other players better are being unfair - he's so strong and hard to tackle that he makes metres every time, draws a lot of defenders and if he gets a quick play the ball other ball playing players can take advantage.
anyone see the game when we played the sharks recently?

                I think that's a pretty good summary.

1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Can't imagine QLD giving the NSW back three the time and space they did in game 2 in game 3 - The QLD kick chase game wasn't great so I assume will be addressed in game 3

                  QLD also struggled to make ground in their sets - NSW - 42.3 Metres to QLD - 27.99 Metres - Kicking - NSW 734 metres ( 24 kicks ) - QLD 641 Metres ( 19 kicks)

                  NSW dominated possession - 60% to 40% - Set completions NSW 88% ( 38/43 ) to QLD 75% (28/37) - Running metres NSW 1818 ( 612 PC ) to QLD 1035 ( 324 PC) - Tackles - NSW 264 ( 23 MT ) to QLD 351 ( 56 MT )

A good analysis...what it reinforces to me is the power of the referee to control the destiny of a game. Game 1 , Klein allowed QLD to stifle the NSW attack, and we lost. Game 2 he penalized/6 again and sin bin which an ultimate tired Qlnd defence could not defend in the second half. There are so many Rooster games where the referee's 6 agains/penalties would lead to our inability to attack strongly or defend later in the game. A gun side like our 2013 , 2018/19 teams could overcome that disadvantage. Unfortunately we don not have that same high calibre team against improved opponents to do it atm.

                      Totally.

Makes you wonder doesn't it - if he'd refereed both games consistently then game 3 would be way less important as NSW would already have the series.

I'm expecting him to referee game 3 like game 1.

It is show business after all.

Teddy doesn't even know what he's going to do when he gets the ball.

Teddy was great in game 2.

He had some help in the middle, the NSW pack aimed up. Even the outside backs hit it up like props, Toups included. Api also helped to create some space in the middle.

This is what i think we've been missing this season, that impact through the middle. Rads helps a lot by ball playing in the middle, but he's been injured.

When we do win the middle, Teddy has more space / impact and our backs have more time and space.
