I saw a clip this morning where the cameras go to Radley and Suaalli in the sheds. Victor tried to create an optical illusion that he was masturbating Suaalli. No big deal but I hope he doesn't get in some trouble for it.

Not sure if you played junior footy or not but in my day the mothers were the one's taking the kids to the footy ( to train and play and watch) and running the canteens/ washing the jumpers. shorts. socks and providing first aid etc etc.

The Women have built and been supporting the game just as much as the Men have been for decades.

How far does the reputation as a larrakin take you in Rugby League these days? Not far it seems as the game has moved on & is professional with high exposure and a lot of money involved now.

it wasn't a terrible incident but it does show Radley's maturity level & lack of awareness. I watch a lot of other sports & it seems League always has a boof head element to it. He was probably mucking around all Origin camp which is fine & who care's but to do it on purpose in front of cameras.....I can't defend him.

Abdo to summon Radley for ‘please explain’ over lewd gesture

A “disappointed” NRL chief Andrew Abdo will seek a face-to-face meeting with Victor Radley to address his behaviour after the Roosters star made a lewd gesture in State of Origin II that was beamed to millions of viewers.

Radley has a reputation as one of the toughest players on the field and a larrikin off it, although the latest incident was lambasted as being in poor taste. The Nine broadcast cameras panned to Radley in the sheds after the Blues 44-12 win on Sunday, prompting the lock to mimic an explicit act on club teammate Joseph Suaalii.

It’s the latest in a series of misdemeanours, which include being kicked off a plane for being intoxicated and copping a two-game ban and $20,000 fine for tackling a man on the street during a street party in December 2020.

The NRL integrity unit is yet to make a decision on the latest incident, but Abdo said the behaviour was unacceptable.

“It’s certainly far from ideal when something like that happens,” Abdo said.

“It happened in the sheds, but unfortunately was captured and broadcast broadly. We are looking at it and we’ll be having a conversation with Victor and the NSWRL.”

Abdo, like predecessor Todd Greenberg, has a history of sitting down with players who have made poor decisions off the field. Most recently, Abdo warned Brisbane's Kotoni Staggs he was in danger of squandering his talent if he made another off-field transgression.

“We are a sport, we are all humans, we are all passionate. People make mistakes,” said Abdo, speaking at the launch of the annual Beanie for Brain Cancer round at the SCG.

“I always find it’s useful to try to engage with everyone, to understand the specifics of the situation and to work together to make sure we keep getting better.

You can shove gambling and alcohol advertisements down the throats of viewers at any opportunity possible, but a bit of a laugh between some mates in a dressing room post win, is where the line is drawn? Cameras shouldn’t even been in the dressing room like this, maybe for the team song/player interviews, and that’s it. Immature or not, if it’s so “X rated”, then why are outlets like FoxLeague constantly making pieces about it and circulating the video. Can only laugh. This sport has become a laughing stock and week by week gets worse.

It's 2022 not 1982- Time Radley pulled his head in and do what they pay him to do- play consistent footy - Radley is on some sort of a collision course with the League and there will only be one winner in that matchup. - He doesn't want to end up a modern version of Les Boyd

In all honesty he was a surprise selection for NSW based on his season so far of 10 games only (last game was round 10) including last season with his suspensions including when he lost the plot in the Bronco's game - 2 sin bins / 4 reports

2018 - 25 games
2019 -27 games
2020 - 7 games - ACL
2021 - 16 games - a number of suspensions
2022 - 10 games - syndesmosis

If Woke because I like the Women's game- NRLW/Tarsha Gale Cup/SOO Seniors and Under 19's etc - then glad to be Woke in that case - better that being some old dino fossil living with views from bygone era's don't you agree?.
