Who was the fullback circa 1980s -1990s that we lost to the Bullscum? Even though I cannot recall his name, he was pretty bloody good.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

I just remembered him, Rod Silva.

Please Rod Silva couldn't tie up the laces on Teddy or Mini's boots. He had a good step and that was all.

Rod Silva was a great attacking fullback with an electric side step but he was a terrible defender, i still rate him highly though, some of the tries he scored were amazing.

I was lucky enough to see Bill Mullins play and they way he used to skittle players in his damaging runs rates him as one of the best Roosters wingers i have seen.
I would throw Ron Saddler in there but like Sing he alternated between centre and wing and i only saw Saddler play when i was very young but my memories of him was of a very effective defensive winger driving players over the side line.

Andrew Walker played quite a bit of five eight in his career too, very effective in both positions. His dummy to kick then passing to Junee in the Monday night thriller against Brisbane to set up match leveling try was football brilliance.
Marty Gurr was a great defensive fullback and excellent under the high ball, the combination he had with Kevin Hastings putting up the high ball and him ending up with tries was great too.
Luke Phillips was close to best player on the field in the 2000 GF putting his body on the line to stop Brisbane tries, he repeated that type of performance again in the winning 2002 GF, such a tough fullback.

I’d have to give it to teddy, more complete, but it’s hard to not give mini the mantle as our best.

Hard to pick a best back five, especially when I want to put Bmoz on the wing, damn I wish he came to us earlier in his career, cos he just looked like he belonged when he came here.

I’d hate to not have BMoz included on the wing. He was phenomenal, and we are really missing his great defensive plays.

Geez that's tough, depends what you are measuring best by?

At their peak - Teddy just has more strings to his bow
Total body of work in a Roosters jersey - Still Mini for mine although Tedesco has time on his side.

                          For me personally, Teddy

The one that will be forever in my heart, Mini

The one that could have been and got away, RTS
