As good as Teddy is, he's been a Rooster for only 4 years...Miini 15 years and a 1 club player.....

Mini for the moment, but Teddy will eventually surpass him. It's hard to judge when a person is still playing . Once Teddy retires we will be able to assess both their achievements and full worth/impact to the team side by side

          1- James Tedesco

          3- John Brass
          4- Mark Harris
          5- Bill Mullins
          6- Brad Fittler
          7- Kevin Hastings

Looks formidable. But what about the couple of backline immortals, in Dally M and Dave Brown. An argument could also be made for Cronk's inclusion. We definitely have been blessed as a club

He is clearly ahead just on his work ethic I thought Mini was great with his pinball runs but Teddy breaks tackles for fn. He's a great defender and never seems to be tired.

Tough call for me as Mini had the injuries and was a winger in 2002. Based on subjective form I think Teddy is the more established player. Despite the quality of FBs around (Ponga, Pap, Trbo, Hynes...etc), he's seen as the best.

On potential, both are equal but Teddy's had better luck with injuries, enabling him to better his game.

Then again... Mini in known for his innovations in rehab/prep which are now used by everybody. He also has the runs on the board with 302 games and our record for most tries despite extended periods of absence. I dunno what Teddy's combined career tries are, but would suggest Mini's got him covered?

Overall I think Teddy is the more lethal player. However he has the benefit of modern sports science behind him, much of which Mini pioneered. To me it really comes down to personal preference...

A best ever Roosters side would have to include Brown and Messenger I reckon, but my backline was only made up from players I've seen.

Latrell would have to be one of the centres because he's the best centre the Roosters have ever produced in the last 50 years.
Toups would be ahead of Mullins

Allan McKean did well for us and in fact held the club highest point scoring record until Fitzy broke it.
I’ve seen 5 great Easts fullbacks Mini, Teddy, McKean, Fairfax and Andrew Walker.

Cronk was here for two years, and is a club legend, the way he accepted the roosters and spoke about the heart, passion and promoted us, was something that I haven’t heard from a lot of other roosters legends.

Quality v quantity comes to mind, but mini had both.

Russell Fairfax was my favourite as a kid. Loved the way he played. Bit of a trailblazer in that he played like a second five eight at times. Later, Gary Belcher was of a similar ilk also. There was something about the way he moved that reminded me of Fairfax.

Love Minnie but Teddy has it for me. Interesting argument but Teddy has moved past Slater for me, his involvement levels have taken the position in a direction that I don't think others can replicate.

Teddy had an awful run of injuries which hampered him for 3 years on and off, also why he seems to slip over a lot, because of the ACL he doesn’t feel comfortable wearing long studs.

Gee mini would of gone close to 350+ games and probably 160-170 odd tries, he was at the peak of his game when his back gave in 2006, didn’t play properly again til 2010

That backline would match and better any of the following:

                                80's Parra
                                90's Brisbane & Canberra
                                Wally's QLD
                                8 in a row QLD

                                I'd make the following adjustments:

                                Teddy
                                Mini
                                Latrell
                                Manu
                                Mullins
                                Freddy
                                Cronk

People's opinions on Latrell is well known, but both Manu and Latrell can play the power game and the silky game whereas Harris was power and Brassy was silk.

Although Horrie is a club legend, head over rules heart and I'd have to put Cronk there. His dad played for Bondi United and is an Easts fanatic so he's not too much of a Johnny come lately. His uncles also are Easts fanatics.

Harris....before Grothe, Meninga, Miles, Jonah Lomu, Sivo etc, there was BIG MARK HARRIS. The original!
