I couldn't understand why we didn't go after Pangai jnr because he was exactly what we needed and as you pointed out signing Lodge has made the " he's not our type of character " seem hypocritical.
The bloke lay down for a penalty to win a game earlier this year so I'm not sure how that fits in with the roosters way that Robbo preaches.
On face value it doesn't auger well for the younger cubs in the forwards if this bloke has been signed for a brief cameo stint.

Matt Lodge is only 27 years old, so I’m guessing if all works out well he may be the SST replacement down the track?

We can’t rely on the young bulls for another couple of years, so maybe this is Robbo’s forward planning..

This smells of one thing.......desperation.

We are in a situation where SST is going, JWH is in the twilight and a chronic injury risk, and there are no quality props available to acquire or in our depth.

The guy Lodge is quite simply a s**t human being. The New York episode is the cream on the cake...have heard plenty of other examples.

I don't understand how the NRL could ratify a contract for Lodge for more than one third of a season for $100K.
It seems cheap to me.
But if they do allow it I am in favour. It will certainly fill a gap we need filled.
