    - Walker, clearly not ready to lead the team as a halfback. Tried hard but just let him create and play what he sees not having to worry about where he needs to be in the set so he can kick on last all the time.

    - Radley, continued what’s been a poor season. Should’ve been a big inclusion but instead was a liability, his simple drop in yardage after just coming on the field was a momentum turner and then simple miss from marker on Korisau for the game sealing try. Much better player than he’s currently showing.

    - Loved what we were doing through the middle of the field either side of half time with Egan Butcher, Watson & Verrills. Allowed Teddy and Manu to jump on the back of it too. A lot of talk on here about big body forwards on the bench but I think we need to lean into this more and felt we could’ve gone harder and more direct more often.

    - Egan Butcher, 4th game back now really started to warm to the task. Runs hard, tackles hard but had some deft skill for the Taukeiaho try and then a nice kick to force a drop out.

    - I really admire Hutchinson and appreciate what he’s done in some times of real need for us but if we’re serious about playing in the finals series this year he can’t be in our top 17, there were stages where he was walking back in defence. Just not fit enough.
    i reckon -
hutch is a very good depth squad member but probably not in the top 17
egan butcher is an exciting prospect.
penrith look vulnerable in the ruck against our attacking weapons. teddy and joey made them look very beatable.
rads will be alright - he had some great hits in defence and some fair runs as well as the mediocre ones and the dropped ball. will be good to get that game under his belt and hopefully he can stay injury and suspension free.

    • Well, it wasn’t the arse kicking everyone predicted , our defense , for the most part , was awesome , if we had Lukey and Whatta -Hardarse we might have got even closer , if not upset those spoilt pack of jackoffs , as of this moment ! Im calling Jarome Luai, Mascot airport, cause the closer you get to him , the louder the whining gets , all he did all night was yell at his pet ref …f**ktard……still think we will make the semis , which will be a excellent result for the year we’ve had

      PS dear Uncle Nick
if Lukey gets medically retired , can you fill Matt Burton’s bank account please ?
      cheers

        Farken Sutton.
Its a shame the Roosters havnt been able to bring that intensity against the weaker teams
When Mickie has a go at the refs, then there's definitely gotta be an ivestigashun.

        • Media darlings Penriff and Parra have new grounds and it’s all part of the NRL strategy to grow the game in the west so it’s a must to keep these teams in the spotlight.
As history tells me, the subconscious or conscious bias against the roosters likely a socio and demographic hang up. One would think the NRL would like the Roosters to be successful this season due to a new SFS opening in August but I doubt it. It’s as though the NRL get to use our home ground and enjoy the fact we won’t be there in finals time and have the last laugh at our expense.

We won't ever be liked by the masses as apparently we are filthy rich & poach everyone's players. But what I don't get is the Storm never coping as much disdain from the media/fans after their proven massive salary cap rorting.

Despite what they say we have never rorted the salary cap & been caught despite a massive spot light always on us. If that was us caught back then you would still be hearing about it to this day.

I actually like it that way...less is more..

It was the Melbourne fans who copped it more than the players. I remember a young boy getting abused in a Central Coast car park by 2 grown men simply for wearing a Storm T-shirt. Some people are just completely irrational. Even a family member of mine who doesn't even follow the Storm said oh it wasn't that bad..I said it was the biggest cheating scandal in sporting history since the White Sox one of 1938...

Like Souths in 2014..I called it on here from August onwards..filling the coffers with merchandise sales...If Parra won a grand final for the first time since 1986, imagine how much revenue that would generate..and that's just from my relatives...

Yes, careful not to impugn the scumbag”s credibility, integrity, or bias against the Roosters. Careful not to incur the wrath and a fine from the overlords at the nrl.

i don't disagree with you but if i'm going to be exact i'd say - yes we can win the comp but missing the 8 is a possibility. our f and a is good so 5 wins in the final 8 could be enough, 6 probably guarantees us a spot. who knows what injuries, sin binnings etc we will have. maybe we lose a few games. we need to take hold of this season by the scruff of the neck and make it what we want it to be.
last year at this stage we were hoping for a top 4 spot. this year we're hoping for a top 8 spot but last year we had only a mathematical chance to win the comp (didn't have the cattle) but this year we're an outside but realistic chance to win if we can make it to the finals.

                      Why single them out
Dogs, Warriors & the Sharks have all been caught out rorting the cap.
The Storm are a champion club that have aimed up for 20 years. After they were caught out they had to shed 10 players for the following season & the following season they were minor Premiers. You have to give Bellamy & the Storm credit they are always a top 2 side & like I said they have aimed up for 20 years producing unknowns to champions thats incredible mate.

I remember some of us on here wanted to chip in for poor Geoff Toovey's fine..he was right that year..Souths got 83 more penalties than us but we were minor premiers..go figure..

We are our own worst enemy when it comes to to the penalty count. Robbo has brought it on himself.
We don’t lay down and milk penalties. This is a known fact, Robbo has taken the high ground and I support him and his crusade but nobody gives a shit, nothing has changed.
‘we miss out on so many penalties because we jus get up and play the ball even when in obvious pain because of a crusher tackle. Nobody cares,
Maybe it’s time to change tactics.

The minute we start doing that, the media will play the footage ad nauseam and someone will upload it to Twitter, Instagram and YouTube for open slather on the armchair critics and keyboard warriors who hate us anyway.

Nick won't stand for that nonsense and neither do I for that matter..if you lie down with dogs you get up with fleas..

Even my sister who has no love for the Roosters admits that is one thing she admires about the way we play.
