Well in my case I was annoyed by his lack of presence in big games. When the occasion demanded a little more from him he tended to go missing.
I feel we won in 2013 despite him.
The other big factor was how he responded when made club captain.................I really shouldn't have to bring that up again.

No look I do agree whilst not the best player in the comp in most game he tended to give 100% of himself , even tried to hard .Just think if we aren't to use Joey which in my opinion is the best option then he may well be good for a year and also did have a good playing relationship with Watson

Agree, 2013 was more SBW, Maloney, Mini.etc. than Pearce. Suprised Robbo put up with him for so long.

Pearce back would really be scraping the bottom of the barrel

No question he gave 100% on field, but I was pleased when he went to Newcastle and think he's a spent force at NRL level.

Hopefully he goes out on his own terms, he has earnt that at our club. It would not an easy decision for himself thats for sure. If, he does retire we should be looking at Dylan Brown, he can negotiate from November as he comes off contract at the Eels at the end of 2023. He is solid as a rock defensively and would be a great halves partner for Walker.

Some whispers backing up that he isn't quite right on social media as well. Poor guy.

Hearing that Luke Keary isn’t doing too well & is no certainty to return after the bye round.

                Wish him all the best.

My word that does not sound good at all, I know it’s just a rumour but sometimes it’s a little bit more, utterly devastated for the bloke if true, he’s a smart man he will do what is right for himself, **** I hope this isn’t true get well soon Kez.

That knock to his noggin by Joey was virtually nothing in the scheme of head knocks , yet his still got a recurring headache apparently after all this time , time to pull the pin and go use those two bachelor degrees keary busted his arse to get ….no way the game is bigger than quality of life

Adam Doueihi anyone? Got the shits with the Tigers because they keep picking him in the centres. I believe we tried to sign him at the end of 2019 when Mitchell went to the Rabbits, offers us a bigger body in the 6 jumper

Luke Brooks will leave the Tigers & Doueihi will be 5/8.

I agree this will happen, but on the topic of Adam, I definitely would consider enquiring into his services.
Burton for me is the one we should have a real shot at, though.

If Keary is contemplating his future then it is time to retire. He comes back and gets another knock its over.....which is what I thought last time...it may be next game or next season..
The best thing for all parties is for him to retire and we can focus on recrutiing come November... their are two great players that will be open to discussions for 2024 in Munster and Burton... the roosters can not affford to miss this discussion!
He has absolutley nothing to prove and is a Roosters legend for a) Being part of our back to back premiership team and b) telling Rusty to go EFF himself!!!
