  • It’s been a month since the injury. Must be either still getting headaches or has lost confidence. Either way you’d have to think he’s probably not coming back at all by now.

“Robbo I’ve lost my confidence so I can’t play in this very important game on Saturday.”

      • We are supposedly going very hard for Munster.

I would have agreed with that, but I don't see why he'd be back at training in this case? Pretty sure he'll play again this year.

I genuinely really hope this isn't the case. I think this bloke is so supremely overrated. Still, if it happens I hope he makes me eat my words.

          • Robbo maybe giving Keary an extra week as a precaution noting the Dragons game plan to take out the main Bronco's half with some back street thuggery tactics

            • A bit of an over reaction.
He has had no contact training so just put him straight in against a couple of thugs to test him out.

              • If he does retire can the club promote North Sydney Bears young gun Sandon Smith to the top side? Then next year we can have Brandon Smith passing the ball to him from dummy half.

It’s a shame Luke never made origin and played next to Nathan Cleary

Jesus, that would be a decent team.

Surely making a huge play for him or Burton ?? Or if Joey kills it at 6 is he a genuine option to stay there

                    • I’d take Burton before Munster. Has a bigger, longer term future in him.

Not sure how real the talk is but for the NRLs sake, let’s hope the NFL don’t come knocking.

Be nice to have that choice
I'd go with Burton too , only because he's younger.
Munster has to be close to the best player in the game at the moment though

                        • You cannot compare the talents of Munster to Burton. Burton has potential yes but at the moment Munster is so much better.

Agreed. Burton is only 22 and showing all the signs of being one of the top players for the next 10 years.

Munster is almost 28 and at the games pinnacle but with another 4 or 5 years left at the top.

If we miss either player now, we may never see either of them in our colours. I can see Burton getting a very long top $ contract wherever he ends up and Munster surely will be locked up for at least 3 years as well.

                            • It's a big blow to our chances this Saturday. I don't really rate the Steelers but they will be looking to bounce back after their poor showing last week.

Massive blow not having Keary out there, hope the continual extra resting by Robbo doesn’t come bask to bite us on the back side..
