Souths aren't a premiership threat imo. They could definitely scalp a strong team or two, but unless they enter a very, very rich vein of form they'll struggle to make the 8. They have a very difficult run home.

Mitchell is only the 3rd or 4th best fullback, let alone the best player in the game.

Latrells deadly in specific moments but unless souths get leg up penalties or 6 agains they can struggle to get out of their own end. He doesn't run the ball out and the outside backs aren't great at getting big metres.
They like us have a tough run home and we'll see how they go against the better teams, i think they are really missing Reynolds precise kicking game which has transformed the broncos.
I said it before unless injuries and suspensions arise i think everyone is playing for 2nd, anything better than evens is a good bet for the panthers to repeat.

They beat an awful Newcastle side by 12, who were without Ponga and Saifiti
Thumped the Eels
Got annihilated by the Dragons

Their form line isn't awful, but that's very far from convincing me of being a Premiereship threat. And that stands even if they beat an injury riddled Storm side this week.
Room for Souths fans to be optimistic, but a long way to go for me. I don't think they have the game managing ability to win the comp.

not expecting motm from keary this week, just a solid performance. at the very least he'll be another option on last tackle kicks.
i wouldn't have a problem if teddy and joey do what they've been doing while keary and walker play their eyes up footy. nothing wrong with playing to your strength

I think Suaalii has the potential to be a big strong tough rough centre & play with real aggression similar to Latrell but for now Latrells the beast he's a game breaker.
