Can't catch much of a break the last few seasons.
This season isn’t about the breaks we can’t catch.

There’s no excuse for where we are right now and where we could be headed.

There are plenty of excuses for quite a few of our losses, but that doesn't necessarily mean those results are acceptable.
We've had an absolutely horrendous run of injuries for three years, and the lack of consistently running out a similar team week after week shows. This is simply fact, and people don't seem to understand the impact and detriment to cohesion when you are changing your team every week.

That being said, we should've taken care of the Bulldogs and Knights specifically when we had the chance too.
I don't rate the Dragons very highly and if you look over their wins and losses, you'll know why. Unfortunately, we're gonna have to win this game with Teddy, Toops and Angus backing up, Jared returning from injury, no Collins and no Keary. It'll be tough.

Mmm… yes and no. We’ve had a bad run of injuries yes not as bad as last year but a couple of dents in our side. We’ve had 3/4 of our spine available to us for most of the year and radley also played a chunk of footy during the start of the year and featured in losses.

We are quite simply a better footy team and where we are sitting isn’t good. I think poor individual efforts in key moments from some big name players this year ( SST, Angus, Momo ) have been a bigger let down.

IMO excuses help explain our pain as fans while giving us hope that the more shocking results aren't indicative of our true potential. They help soften the blow, but don't earn us a spot in the finals. If we use the reckoning that you need about 28 points to make the finals then we may only be able to drop 2 games from here.

Sigh. Dragons without Collins, JWH and Keary will be tough and I'm not gonna bank on Lodge being an enforcer. We can totally do it though. I wouldn't bother watching if the outcome was pre-determined.

Yeah, it’ll be tough no doubt.
Re excuses, I feel like as a fan I can als plenty. I can look at the team and sees who’s missing and all the other bits of context that can explain where we are on the ladder. The people that can’t make excuses are the players. Their mentality has to be one of “No excuses, next man up, give it everything you’ve got.”

I hope they have it this week. I think if they took the correct lessons out of the Storm and Panthers games, they could give the finals a shake yet. If they’re disheartened by the last few weeks, then we could be in for a miserable end to the season.

Last year, despite all the injuries, we won all the games against the teams below us. We couldn't beat top teams, but at least we won when expected to. This year's rabble would struggle to beat the NRLW teams.

Perhaps put Sergis in at left centre?

King would like this cause according to him the women are as good as the men.

Last years bottom teams have improved this year due to recruitment and better coaching

I think our women's team would give the Tigers a run for their money.

                            Playing in Gosford is concern.

The Chookettes were more entertaining than the men, and to this point in the season they also far outperformed them.

Yeah the 2 wins from 5 to make the semis was outstanding form.
