Initially the Central Coast game was against Manly (round 2). Had to be shifted as the SCG wasn't available at this time.

Really worrying to not see Keary, considering this really is a must-win. I think he'll be back this season, but geez it's not a good time to be missing him.

Great to see Jared back - that was greatly needed. I also think Lodge would have to be odds-on to play?
I think we should take care of this Dragons team, and if we play like we did against the Panthers, it'll be a convincing win.
Can't take anything for granted this season though. I hope the squad still has belief, in spite of all the close games they've lost this year.

If we lose to the Dragons this week, then there is no point playing Keary for the rest of the year, cos the 8 will officially be out of reach.

          2. As much as I don't like this but I think one of the Butcher brothers will end up losing their bench spot for Lodge. There's no way he's been acquired to play for the Bears and/or act only as depth cover.

PS: Overall, solid side and glad to see JWH return !
Mickie Lane is more likely to be invited for an orgy with the Victoria Secret models than Nat Butcher is of getting dropped.

Lodge will only be a chance of playing if Jarred or Collins pulls out.

Yeah, kind of how I felt too. Might be correct.
Oh well, out of our hands. Wish Keary all the best and hope I get to see him run around for a few seasons yet.

So let’s just save him for a head knock in Round 1 next season?

I reckon Kearys football career is over unfortunately, it wasn't much of a knock, he will retire imo.

This Keary situation can't continue like this. It's distracting & really hurts the team. Also to be walking on egg shells all the time thinking his next head knock will be his last game is not ideal.

Great player & big respect for what his done for the Roosters but we can't have a major playmaker missing 6-8 games a year for every head knock he cops. I think it's time he himself retires & puts his health & family first.

If he is one head knock away from retirement then imo he's already retired.

Lol ... lucky Mickie if that were to happen !

Hrrmmm ... fair point. Egan has found some decent form the last few games he has played (still early) but it looks promising and I can't see him being dropped and yes, can't fault Nat either.

Egan's versatility as a five eight holds weight too if injuries during the game occur.
He played most of his junior career in the
                      6 jersey.

Who knows what the club’s rationale is, as they are pretty poor in giving the fans any real info, or they don’t know what to do themselves, he can’t be medically retired, so I assume they would have to pay out his contract if he doesn’t play again, and that comes out of the cap.

I would rather see Hutch on the bench ahead of Watson. We need his kicking game.

Luke has been pretty much missing all year. The Walker Keary combo has not worked at all. Luke has been coming back from an ACL and has head knock issues and has played that way pretty much all year - I can hardly remember a good game from him. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think his heart is in it anymore - just like Boyd got before he retired.

it's very sad and he has been great for us for many years - but if he comes back - much like many on here have said it's until the next head knock only. What's the point of that?

Love to be proven wrong but I can't see it going any other way than retirement - we as a club have to move on and deal with it. As thirteen has been saying - it's now detrimental to the teams chances of success this year and next.

I agree. Hutch offers more. Watson is a bit of a disappointment. Poor Drew deserves to be there.

Thanks for the memories Luke and all the best in your next chapter in life.
                                Is he coaching material?
