Is August the 1st the cut off date for final squad numbers / additions?

NRL teams can sign players up to the 1st Monday in August to complete their 30 player squads

The Roosters have only 26 players signed in the top 30 squad and 5 players on either development or extended bench contracts.

I figure they don't sign 30 players due to the salary cap constraints - Lodge is signed for 100k possibly Lussick's money since he was released to the Warriors - Volkman was on a development contract only - $60k

I doubt this will be happening. We are not running 1st or 2nd on the ladder.

Collins is definitely out, its a minimum 5 day concussion protocol period given he failed his HIA.

Im proud to support a club that actually cares about the welfare of their players. If that is to the detriment of the weekly team results then so be it.

So here we go, its pretty much sudden death from here on, maybe if we lose 1or 2 we might make the 8 lose 3 and we are relying on other results imo we wont make the 8. The great experiment hasn't worked we have walker playing halfback were he should have been playing all year only as a result of lukes injury. Manu and walker could prove hard to handle for other teams because you cant predict what they will do. Kearys done i don't think we will see him again in the RWB. Lodge needs to fire hes capable of it , an elite prop if he has got his head in the right place.id move sualli into center now that manu is playing 5/8 there is no reason for him to be on the flank, move him into his preferred spot and unleash him give him good early ball and he will be hard to handle, see what happens but the season is on the line now

Jeez, it's suddenly looking tough without Collins, and potentially any other Origin players, with Keary already side-lined. Definitely hope Jared plays, and that he can get through a solid stint.
Can't catch much of a break the last few seasons.
