I’ve met his Dad many times. His Dad would be just as proud if he represented Australia. Maybe even prouder cause he’d have to earn a spot to play in such a great side. For England they’ll just about pick anyone. Even an Aussie hogan.

    Are you enlightened?

      They suck.
      They howl at the moon.
      Radley is Australian............end of story.
I agree. The rules are very grey. Why do some Islanders represent two countries?

He’s young. He should stick to representing the place where he was brought up.

So are we going to blame his English heritage for that trait? Or his Australian one...?

Rads is a solid player who's been earmarked for Origin but as a dual citizen, I'd play for Italy (if I was good enough) ahead of an indefinite wait for something that may never happen due to multiple factors.

Lots of us grow-up in Australia with one parent from another country. Doubt Rads will be the last to make this call.
Exactly..a few of my cousins got to play for Lebanon and with the Elias/Fenech shield being played recently, I wish with all my heart Dad had been around to see it. Many players have different cultural backgrounds just like us fans..Having the extended families show up to watch the Pacific Nations players is just beautiful to watch also.

Just so annoying that QLD and Greg Inglis got all the rules changed (in the typical clunky, nonsensical way that the NRL always does their rule changes) by actively poaching a bunch of NSW dudes with no links to QLD.

To me the international game needs a boost. Nobody who was born and raised in Bondi by an English dad should have to choose 'one or the other' IMO.
Of course you should have to choose, the whole criteria is a farce. Origin means place of birth, simple as that. If you’re born in Bondi & move a week later to Brisbane it should mean you’re only eligible for NSW in Origin while also meaning you can only represent Aus the place of Origin. Who cares where your parents were from you shouldn’t have a choice.
Which is why no NZ born, Fiji born player should ever get to represent NSW/QLD or Aus.

Sounds like a concession from Rads that he isn't good enough to make it to origin and Australian selection and to be honest he isn't.
The likes of Yeo, Murray, Carrigan and Tino are ahead of him and I've been disappointed in him with his game this year. He has far too many errors in him at the moment.

Just the same as blokes being born blokes should never choose to be chicks or the other way around.

There’s a bit more to it than what you said but I see your point and in theory, it makes sense.

Peter Sterling was born in Allora (technically Toowoomba as Allora did not have a hospital), a tiny little town just over the hill from where I was born. His Dad Max Sterling played competition lawn bowls with my Dad. But because they moved to Wagga when he was very little, he played his first junior game there, hence becoming a Blues player. More fuss when Greg Inglis played for Qld..and who else remembers Nathan Fien and grannygate as they called it when he wanted to represent New Zealand?

I really should start writing for wikepdia with all the useless information I keep in my brain..

You know Radley's Dad and what would make him proud better than Victor does? The gibber just keeps on flowing...

Maybe for hippies. Real men eat poutine, ask any Canuck. It’s the national dish after all.
