  • Will 28 points be enough

I can honestly see us hitting that mark, the massive positive is that should get us a 6th or 7th position, thus avoiding the Riff until a possible Gf.

Its so close our first round opponents will be one of Eels, Broncs, Storm or even Womanly, i actually see Lol@Souffs dropping out of the 8 with their run hum, Lattrine and Cody to see the red mist and have massive brain snaps, they wont be available for the last round and all the journos and commentators wanks fest ending with nothing but a pile of dust in their hands.

i keep revisiting our performances against full strength squads like Parra, The Storm and the Riff, we should have won at least 2 of them, we had no JWH, Radley, Keary and Lodge, 4 huge ins, SST will be back for finals, Sitillinand Smith can be replaced, add those blokes to our big 3 Teddy, Manu and Suualli and we can beat anybody, my Tab and Sportsbet accounts hope so

If we can't make the 8 we don't deserve to be in the conversation. Finishing in the top 8 ain't shit when half the teams make it.

We have a positive for and against and if we can maintain that we should get into the 8.

        9. SYDNEY ROOSTERS (18, +49)

        Run home: Knights (A), Sea Eagles (A), Broncos (H), Cowboys (H), Tigers (H), Storm (A), Rabbitohs (H)

Analysis: The Roosters have struggled to live up to the hype in an inconsistent season to date, that has them battling just to make the finals. Long-term injuries to Billy Smith, Sitili Tupouniua and Siosiua Taukeiaho and Luke Keary’s concussion issues won’t help their charge to September. However, Trent Robinson has the experience to get his side ready for do or die football from here on out and he still has the class of James Tedesco and Joey Manu to lean on. Matt Lodge was also an astute signing given their injury crisis in the forwards. We are tipping to Roosters to scrape into the finals ahead of Manly due to a superior for and against.

Injuries: Billy Smith (knee TBC), Sitili Tupouniua (knee TBC), Siosiua Taukeiaho (cheekbone TBC), Lindsay Collins (head knock Round 19), Jared Waerea-Hargreaves (hamstring Round 19), Luke Keary (concussion Round 19), Renouf Atoni (knee indefinite)

        Projected results: WWLLWWW

        Predicted finish: 7th (28 points)

Interestingly, they have us losing home games against Broncos and Cowboys.

That same article also has us finishing 8th.

                    Two thoughts...

                    1. 5 From 7 should get us into the 8. We play the Dames, DCE/Trbo, Drongos, Cows, Tigpies, Drizz and Souffs. Mathematically we can crawl over the line if we're talking about luck.

                    2. The team we have on paper should NOT be troubled by any of those teams if it's serious. On form NQ's the best of the lot and no disrespect... I don't think they're legit premiership contenders. If we can't beat the 'better' teams in that group, we don't deserve to play finals footy as we're not legit contenders.

I get your points ism but as is always said… Finals are a different brand of footy and anything can happen. You just need to make sure you get that opportunity. If we get that chance, I’m sure we can shake things up.

Interestingly, they have us losing home games against Broncos and Cowboys.
                        Top 3 will be - Penrith 1st - Cows on 26 have 4 games they should win - 34 with 3 - 50-50 games / Sharks on 26 have 4 games they should win - 34 with 3 - 50-50 games 2nd and 3rd

Places 4 to 8 are to be decided

28 and a healthy for and against will be needed as a minimum for 8th place based on the draws of others contenders - Teams they should beat highlighted and those added to their current points - other games as 50-50 games

Nothing is certain but Raiders have the easier draw with 5 games they should win and 2 -50-50 games / Broncos and Manly 3 games they should win and 4 - 50-50 games /Storm and Roosters 2 games they should win and 5 -50-50 games / Eels and Souths 1 game they should win and 6 -50-50 games.

The Roosters will need results to go their way in other matches as well as winning their required matches.

                        Storm - 24 - Souths/Warriors/Titans/ Panthers/Broncos/Roosters/Eels - 28 points - 5 - 50-50 games
                        Broncos - 24 - Eels/Wests Tigers/Roosters/Knights/Storm/Eels/Dragons - 30 points - 4 50-50 games
                        Eels - 24 - Broncos/Panthers/Sea Eagles/Rabbitohs/Bulldogs/Broncos/Storm - 26 points - 6- 50-50 games

                        Souths - 22 - Storm/Sharks/Warriors/Eels/Panthers/Cows/Roosters - 24 points - 6- 50-50 games
                        Manly- 20 - Dragons/Roosters/Eels/Titans/Sharks/Raiders/Bulldogs - 26 points - 4 -50-50 games
                        Roosters -18 - Knights
                        /Sea Eagles/Broncos/Cows/Tigers/Storm/Rabbitohs - 22 points with 5- 50-50 games
                        Raiders 18 - Warriors / Titans/Panthers/Dragons/Knights/Sea Eagles/Wests Tigers - 28 points with 2 -50-50 games

I don't think Parra are certainties to make the 8. They have a tough draw.

We just need to keep winning.

                              Yep.

I'm not even looking at other teams results.

If we keep winning we make the top 8. Maybe even top 4.

It's in our hands. The moment we start focusing on other teams losing its over anyway.

This ftr is how I see our remaining games unfolding...

                              W
                              W
                              W
                              W
                              W
                              W
                              W

                              Finals:
                              W
                              W
