Spot on. His big frame & extra go forward grunt is great.

He's a gun, cut from the same cloth as his brother. Give him another 50 injury free games he'll be killing it.

Ice on the calf means rest week next week. Robbo does it so that he doesn’t get criticised on the chookpen for resting players.

I messaged Horrie Hastings and said he's fast becoming one of my favourites..he reminds me of Ricko..

          • Pretty good victory for the most part.A little disappointed with those two tries they scored towards the end but it might be a good reminder that there is still plenty to work on apart from that quiet happy.

That’s got to be one of the only times a team has hadless ball but won big.

                  • Great game.
If I had to point out my favourite parts, I'd say:
                    - Seeing JWH and Lodge start was great. The old boss man playing with another man right at that sweet spot in age. Side note: the Newcastle front rowers are pretty handy, did well to get on top of them.
                    - Both wingers were great. Toups as always, Suallaii the young gun.
                    - Watson providing some spark from the bench.
                    - It was great to see Keary back in the team!

                    • Well that was an enjoyable win and helpful that Manly went down as well.

So many great performances - Teddy JS, Kez, E Butch, Watson. The big test will come when we have to play the teams higher on the ladder. We’re a much better side with Verrills at dummy half, allowing Watson to do what he was bought to do. And Luke back on that left edge was outstanding, the Roosters of old.

True, thrown TKO and Lindsey in there and we have a tough middle with a great rotation.

                        • We were really good in patches. Far from the finished article. Newcastle are an absolute rabble at the minute, without Ponga they have to be the worst team in the comp so we did what we had to do. Really really like Egan Butch in the middle coming off the bench. Fantastic. Good for young May to get minutes aswell. Still have no idea why/how Hutch gets a start in the side every week but alas, good win.

                            • Interesting listening to Robbo after the game talking about getting Manu the ball more in the middle of the field and saying its up to the coaches to find a way to make it happen.
I'd love to see it as I think we can go against the grain and play a different style from the rest of the comp and provide opposition defences plenty of headaches.
Tougher stretch coming up but the boys look like they are ready to embrace the challenge.
