Anyone know what the MRC gave Sammy V for his high shot?

Pongs was hurt by his impact with the turf. Back of head stuff

Ponga got the concussion when his head hit the ground. It wasn’t from the tap on the face that put him off balance and caused him to fall.
I think the club should fight it but they probably won’t.
I just hope it doesn’t come back to bite us later if he’s charged again for something else in a future game.

Lodge hardly touched him what a joke, Ponga is heading down the same path as Keary.

He went rather limp on his way to the ground after catching a glance of Lodges wrist to the chin, perhaps right on the button?

I’d find it hard to determine where the concussion occurred though. It’s double bangers like this that closed the Cross.

              Surely we appeal.
Robbo said there was nothing in it during the presser.

I'll take that. Could have been worse.

Love what Lodge is bringing. Not just the physical aspects of his play; there is a real intensity about him, he looks dialled in and super focused when the camera settles on him. I have not noticed that about him before.

I mean, a complete glancing blow that is hardly worth a penalty, let alone a fine. And no, if a player did this to Keary I'd say the same thing. He scarcely brushed him.
That being said, I probably wouldn't worry about fighting it.

Ponga needs to retire and play touch footy.

It’s great to see Matt being accepted and defended by the wider Roosters community now.

Nup. It was dykheads, drugs and alcohol that closed the cross.

Having watched the replay Lodge did get Ponga with wrist on the jawline. Lucky to not have copped a week. We should be happy its just a fine. (I at first thought it was just fingers/palm on the neck)
