Not sure how accurate the first one is

28 players - additions to the squad according to this link are Terrell May/ Oliver Gildart and Sandon Smith - Development contracted Players - Tuku Hau Tapuha / Benny Thomas and Benny Marschke - Extended squad - Tom Carr and Joshua (Siua) Wong

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Templa..._Current_Squad

Compared to the Roosters site one- all players are listed whether NRL Squad/ Development or Extended bench contracts although Joshua (Siua) Wong is listed on this one too

lodge is a very good player but at the age of 27 he hasn't made the mark he should have. he might be offered very good money to play somewhere else but it's in his interest (and ours) to play at a club where he feels happy and hopefully he feels happy with us

Its interesting that there has been no real commentary around his future after this season.

I would have thought there would be plenty of interest for his services and with his father in-law O'Sullivan up at the Dolphins that would be a likely destination.. He's no chance of fulfilling his potential up there though and on the personal side I think a longer association with the Roosters will have a positive effect on his overall image. I think this is already starting to happen.

Love what has done so far and hope we can keep him.

One year deals like Fergo perhaps - did get a pay out from the Warriors for the rest of this year and next year - $700k or so they say.

So might not be looking for big coin when half or so of it goes to the ATO and he did purchase a property on the Northern Beaches recently so one assumes he would be looking at staying in Sydney at a Sydney Club.

I think lodge could easily demand 500k plus, not sure how much we could afford to offer him.

they are talking about signing young Joseph to a lifetime deal, with teddy, keary, Manu close to about 3mil between them, smith coming on $800k, I think we’d struggle, might depend if Angus is staying.

Joey's new deal will be from 2024 and probably increment in future years when JWH, Keary and possibly Teddy retiring or on less money. There is also Sammy to consider and possibly Haas.

We are blessed with the amount of superstars we can fit into our team.

As long as there’s a clause to terminate his contract if he becomes a ‘weak gutted dog’. Lol.

                        Definitely re-sign him.

If Collins returns this season we will have the best front row in the NRL.

I've been impressed by what he has brought to the table so far. If he continues in this vein AND keeps himself out of trouble AND is not a destabilizing factor amongst the squad, then YES. But, that said, it's still too early to make that call. He was always going to come out hard in his first handful of games, he's playing for his future. I don't see any reason to rush into signing him for next year ... other clubs weren't exactly knocking down the door to sign him when we picked him up.

You forgot Egan Butcher. Hutch is not in the best 17, no injuries, despite him being a good bloke.,
